  • People's ignorance frightens more than the disease itself.

Yeah I hear you thanks for the comment
  • Dude! Are you a member of The Frightened Family? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ko7ZCSLfEFE You're scared of everything! When was the last time you saw your mental health professional? You may need your anxiety meds adjusted, and some therapy! Why even read the obituaries if its going to scare you? The fact is you will die one day of something. Being afraid isn't going to change that fact!

Thanks for sharing a comment on here
  • I've had three cousins and their families who have had it, and two aunts and uncles. I know a few people that have died of it. But amazingly, my aunt has cancer, has had most of her insides removed, is in constant pain, and she survived it. My partners friend has leukaemia, he has had three different cancers, he has no immune system, in fact he had to have bone marrow from his sister and his body was trying to reject it, and survived Covid, go figure? I was at the doctors picking up prescription yesterday, and the receptionist was on the telephone taking details from bereaved family member who'd lost her mum in our local hospital, our hospitals are becoming full to capacity. All you can do is follow the guidelines, but life is weird like that, sometimes I wonder, when your time is up it's up, not that you should take silly risks though, or tempt fate.
  • Forgot to add, I don't read the obituaries, but I can understand why you might be doing it in case you see someone you know there. This reminds me of a joke, I can't remember who said it, but it goes like this "I get up in the morning, check the obituary pages, if my name isn't there, then I get on with my day.

"I get up each morning and dust off my wits, Open the paper, and read the Obits. If I’m not there, I know I’m not dead, So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed!" The whole poem: http://holyjoe.org/poetry/anon7.htm
