  • According to the Bible the world was populated through incest twice. There were also some mentioned in the Bible who were married to their sister or cousins. The Old Testament Law in Lev. 22 told of instances when incest was wrong and is the bases to why incest is so frowned upon today. When Jesus Christ rose from the dead He abolished the OT law to those whom believe in Him. We are now under the Law of Love. Loving incest is no longer forbidden by the Bible. Churches do not want their people to know this. Society has made it unacceptable along with the church. Myths surround children of incest trying to make people believe the children will be born with two heads or so mentally deficient they cannot take care of themselves. The chances of this is actually only 1% higher than totally unrelated couples. The problems begin in the third generation (grandchildren). A number of countries have now removed their laws making incest a crime. I too believe incest should be acceptable as long as it is adult consensual incest. No force or trickery involved, only love.

I didn't know most of that seriously those laws are being removed ?

I have always bin curious how it starts or gets triggered and what ages it starts
  • It does not appeal to me at all but I am totally against laws that dictate what goes on in people's bedrooms as long as they are consenting ADULTS.
  • Well it sometimes happens and those consenting need to take responsibility for its consequences good or bad. Can prevent young women from becoming outwardly social which I think harms their growth and development.
  • My gf has an interesting theory that because sex is a way that men and women express love, that consensual incest is a natural, if uncommon, way for them to express love toward a family member. Oddly, backing this up, and to take all naughtiness out of it is some science - which calls it "genetic attraction." Some men and women who have been separated from, and never knew, their siblings or parents, happen to meet them and become sexually and romantically attracted to each other. Sometimes these couples later find that they are related but still wish to pursue their relationships. (There was a legal case in Germany dealing with this very case - in this instance it was a mother and son. The mother had given up her son for adoption. They met years later and, not knowing they were related, fell in love. They subsequently fought for the right to be together and the mother claimed that she was carrying her son's child.) Although this is not common, for a variety of reasons, it happens with sufficient statistical regularity that it is recognized as a real phenomenon. In any case, neither my gf nor I have any interest in it with our own family members. As a legal matter, I think it would be a mistake to abolish the laws against it as it would open the door to all sorts of other problems. However, as a personal matter, it may be a way for a family member to express love for another family member. We use sex to express love, and for some, they may not see why they should withhold the gift of sex from those they love. That, as I say, however, is more explanation than justification.

  • 2-19-2017 There are some facts in the matter, and they are not very compelling. As for opinions, my opinion is people ought to butt the hell out of each other's private matters.
