When will Cuba get back to normal now that evil tyrant is dead?

No offence intended, but isn't that like rats swimming back to the sunken ship ? Fidel stepped down in 2008 and left his brother Raul in charge at that time. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see things changing just because Fidel died.

maybe with our new President. it is known the people there want freedom. with any Castro in charge war may be the only way.

It will take another revolution put another government in Cuba. Cuba has had a history of corrupt rulers. It goes way back before Castro took over. They don't trust the Capitalists or the Communists. I don't know what the solution is for them.

Hulk might be right. Most likely the current strong-man is going to choose another loyal strong-man to take over from him, and so on. There IS the chance, though, that eventually one will be chosen who is sufficiently "modern-minded" to allow partial democracy...and once that happens (IF that happens), the flood-gates will open and it will quickly become a typical third-world mess-of-a-democracy.
