  • No offence intended, but isn't that like rats swimming back to the sunken ship ? Fidel stepped down in 2008 and left his brother Raul in charge at that time. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see things changing just because Fidel died.
  • maybe with our new President. it is known the people there want freedom. with any Castro in charge war may be the only way.
  • It will take another revolution put another government in Cuba. Cuba has had a history of corrupt rulers. It goes way back before Castro took over. They don't trust the Capitalists or the Communists. I don't know what the solution is for them.
  • Hulk might be right. Most likely the current strong-man is going to choose another loyal strong-man to take over from him, and so on. There IS the chance, though, that eventually one will be chosen who is sufficiently "modern-minded" to allow partial democracy...and once that happens (IF that happens), the flood-gates will open and it will quickly become a typical third-world mess-of-a-democracy.
