  • I am sure it depends on how old you are, experience, education and where you live. Word of mouth is always a good start. For example, my job sometime hires teenagers. I told my son's friend, he applied, I gave him a reference & he got the job. Later my son got a job there. My college age son did the same thing at his Dad's work the first year out of high school. One year he got on www.snagajob.com and found a job. This year he put his name in a temp agency & he's getting called for all kinds of jobs. We've encouraged our boys to put an application in at every place that will take an application. They've always been successful getting hired. Good Luck.
  • Go to as many local stores as possible and ask if they might have a summer position open. Scan the local newspapers want ads. Ask neighbors or teachers if they know of anything.
