-
As long as I'm happy... not if i was really ill in a wheelchair stuck in and old peoples home.
-
Not frightend but I definately think about it and want to take better care of myself now for then and my children.
-
No. I don't do 'old'
-
Not all all. I may be uneasy with losing some ability and loved ones as I get older but not 'age' or 'oldness' itself. I've enjoyed ever age I've been. They each bring their own trials and treasures. It's what makes life exciting and new each day. I will alwasy suffere from "what's around the corner-itis".
-
yes I am frightened. My future is in turmoil right now.
-
no ian't wait till i'm 50 and still acting like i'm 20 lol
-
I'm not afraid of getting old. I'm afraid of the people around me getting old and to lose them.
-
I am afraid of getting even older and being Incontinant
-
Not really as long as I'm healthy.
-
Moderately. Im affraid of the side effects, mainly wrinkles! Arrrgghh!!
-
Too late!
-
No. You get to wear one of them see-through plastic things on your head insead of carrying a brolly.
-
Nope! I want to get old so I can relax! LOL
-
Nope
-
I'm afraid of dieing early.
-
Not even a little bit.
-
I am getting old and I can certainly say it aint worth being scared about. There's really only one alternative.
-
Well, getting old beats the alternative. If anything, I am afraid of doing it alone.
-
Nahh..it's going to happen no matter what so I am not real worried about it :)
-
Not scared per se, but I can't help but get introspective and mildly depressed around my birthday.
-
I'm going to be 71 soon and I'm having the time of life. Scared of getting old? Come on..the alternative (death) is way scarier, don't you think? Youth is overrated, in my opinion and getting older is a fact of life. Trying to hang on to youth as you age is quite unattractive, rather desperate and quite shallow in my opinion. :)
-
In my case it's already too late for that. Youth is wasted on the young, anyway.
-
I am not so much scared of getting old - I am terrified of the thought of not being young. That may sound like the same thing but to me - it isn't. My age is now irrelavent but I just know that I am no longer young and I hate it. (I will be 31 on Sunday and I consider 'young' as being in my 20's)
-
No, it doesn't make a lot of sense to be afraid of the inevitable.
-
I think I'm too young [barely 23] to worry about that yet. But I will, eventually.
-
Yes every day (I am 41)
-
Not realy,, Just don't want to do it alone.
-
Yes - I dont want to be dependent on anyone as I grow older and would much rather be gone before all my loved ones are no more
-
No and I'm not afraid of death either.
-
I was and yes I still am I hate it my yes need to be injected I have very bad lines for a 20 year old...
-
no because you don't have to do anything boring or hard just have fun!
-
Meh, not really.
-
Yes yes yes yes yes yes and YES! :)
-
No. I am looking forward to it. I have 5 kids & am DYING to see my grandkids so I can spoil them & send them home. LOL. I had an accident in 2002 & was dead for about 15 minutes. It wasn't so bad & I am not afraid of death. I am just afraid of dying young & not being able to enjoy my generations.
-
Not really. I just hope I still look somewhat attractive for at least another decade or two.
-
no, life is a drink to savor. A journey to enjoy.
-
I'm kind of afraid of getting really old. I don't want to lose my mind as I approach the end of my time here. I have no family history of dementia, but most of my family hasn't lasted much past 65 before something else got them. At the moment, I'm worried about getting older, because I'm starting my second year of college at 28 years old, and I already shaved the mustache I had for a few years because too many grays were showing up in it. I can't shave my head because of gray hair, so I need hair dye soon. I'm too young for all this gray hair!! lol.
-
life may be a drink - but i'd say it's a soft drink. leave it long enough, and it will go flat. :P growing old sucks!
-
Not in the least bit...and it sure beats the alternative...
-
No. Death is no reason to fear... nor is ill health. Its all just a matter of time.
-
NO. And for all I know I'm not really here typing this at my age, I'm really an alzhiemer's victim in a home driving all the aids crazy.
-
Not at all.
-
I was not comfortable thinking about it before. But one girl asked me once: How do you imagine yourself if you're old? I replied I tried to avoid this kind of topics. Then she said: Hmm. Weird. It's a part of life. Existence matters more than wrincles.
-
If you are past 20, then you are already starting to get old. At my age it is too late to be scared. No I am not scared as there are to many advantages to being "old" although I prefer senior citizen.
-
Yes, in a way. I am feeling older some days, just not as strong (like moving furniture), and tired (bad eating catching up), my fast growing grey hair (I don't think the brown grew this fast), I have no retirement fund, my friends are starting to get diseases (breast cancer, thyroid problems, hysterectomies, colon cancer, weight gain, etc) and that scares me. I don't mind the number getting higher, but I sure don't want to be fighting for my life with cancer. I don't mind the laugh lines, but I don't like the saggy neck starting. I want to be healthy till I drop at a very old age. I don't like that time really is running out, the years that I could have gone back to college are long gone. I never did a lot of things and I guess I never will. God, now I'm depressed. :)
-
I used to be when I was younger. Now at 48, I am not. Life is good, and I have met some of the most interesting and vibrant people who are older. Seeing them live fulfilling lives...still making people laugh, and contributing to the beauty of the world helps me realize that attitude is everything.
-
Not me. I'm afraid of sharks. I'm only 20 miles from Puget Sound, and there might be a shark or two in there. I'm also leery of being trampled by elephants, or charged by an angry rhino. (Do you know how to stop a rhino from charging?) I'm scared of being chomped on by a Sydney Funnelweb spider (check out the fangs in the photos, below). I'm also afraid of an asteroid crashing into the earth, destroying all life. But afraid of growing old? Who has the time to think about it? I secretly look forward to the ultimate relaxation. No more stress or responsibilities. And no more crappy rap music! :)
-
No. I'm already 65 and it ain't bad at all! : D
-
nope. knowledge is the key to fear. You've got to read and read... for those getting old over 40 or 30-ish, try going to http://over40andfighting.com cheers!
-
nope, i'm 20 and getting more and more grey hair every day, but what i fear more than aging, is ending up alone. If I were to find someone to sellte down with and have a family some day, then from there, aging is simply nothing i would fear.
-
Not yet anyway , and I'm up there - lol
-
I used to be but not anymore... I know this sounds stupid...but I believe in a potentially eternal and "young" life on earth. It will be possible in the near future.
-
Not at all
-
No, I'm just surprised I have gotten this old.
-
Absolutely notjing! Older people such as myself have experienced things that the younger geneation is afraid to talk about. Mr Bill
-
Only using my penis for peeing! But, thank GOD they have pills for that now! >:)
-
What old age will do to my body.Wrinkles, stretch marks, sagging breasts and false teeth.
-
The possibility of being alone.
-
ill health
-
I am afraid of losing the capability of intelligent thought. I was going to say losing my mind but I have already lost that! LOL
-
2 things: not being able to take care of myself and looking back and thinking 'Why didn't I do this/that when I had the chance?'
-
I am! Actually, I didn't see this answer and just asked the same question. I don't want to look old...
-
im excited, older people seem so happy and im only 18 i have a long life to live
-
Yeah, a little bit.
-
If you consider 50 old than I am there. I actually feel much older because of health problems even though I look younger.
-
not really, its better than the alternative.
-
Nahh. :)
-
i'm too young to worry about that!
