  • Such structures are typically built in sub zero temperature areas. Building such a habitation using ice in a such a place doesn't sound like a hot idea, but it's really cool! Slabs of ice used in building an igloo actually shields the residents from the blizzard like winds that could make the chill level rise through the ceiling. Surprisingly, the temperature inside an igloo is kept a at constant temperature even if hell is freezing over outside. Cool, eh?
  • Igloos only serves as their roof & passage way to prevent snow from entering. When you enter an igloo, there is a passage leading under the ground. yes, eskimos live underground.
