• As of the census of 2000, there were 2,332 people, 650 households, and 533 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 652.5/km sq (1,695.3/mi sq). There were 679 housing units at an average density of 190.0/km sq (493.6/mi sq). The racial makeup of the CDP was 50.21% Race (United States Census)White, 0.17% Race (United States Census)Black or Race (United States Census)African American, 2.10% Race (United States Census)Native American, 0.47% Race (United States Census)Asian, 0.09% Race (United States Census)Pacific Islander, 40.44% from Race (United States Census)other races, and 6.52% from two or more races. 70.75% of the population were Race (United States Census)Hispanic or Race (United States Census)Latino of any race. There were 650 households out of which 52.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.0% were non-families. 15.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.59 and the average family size was 3.98. In the CDP the population was spread out with 35.9% under the age of 18, 12.0% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 15.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females there were 105.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.5 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $35,463, and the median income for a family was $36,573. Males had a median income of $25,875 versus $22,865 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $13,225. About 16.3% of families and 17.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 22.9% of those under age 18 and 7.1% of those age 65 or over.
