  • This is almost certainly an issue with your cable provider, not your TV set.
  • I have a two year old Toshiba that's doing the same thing. Comcast says unplug it, wait, and try it again. Other than reboting the thing, any other answers?
  • I am having the same problem with my Sony TV which is about 4 years old. I tried unplugging it but the problem always comes back. I also have Comcast for my cable service provider. Does anyone have any other ideas?
  • I get the same thing on my 8 month old Sylvania. BUT I DO NOT HAVE CABLE!!! Just a big old antenna on the roof.
  • I am getting this on my LG TV. It is a little over a year old. Power cycling sometimes solves the issue but it does seem to come back. It does not seem to happen during commercials. When the show comes back on, the <http://>[n:Default Web Site][] <http://>[n:Default Web Site][e] <http://>[n:Default Web Site][] <http://>[n:Default Web Site][] comes back onto the screen.
  • I had that same prob and had my bro in law who is tech check it out, it was the simple fix of turning off captions on tv
  • i had same problem and followed archangels advice and it worked our tv was on text2 under the caption mode we switched to caption off and the black box disapeared
