This really depends on a number of different factors... Winter time makeup requires that you normally go a couple of shades lighter (if you have acquired a tan in the summer, but are no longer sporting a tan). Match the color of your neck for the best overall color of the face. -------- My favorite winter time base is a foundation made by Boots Makeup. It comes in a jar with a black lid and is sold at Target'. This particular base is great for a good even coverage. When I first started using this, I had a couple of people that asked if I were a celebrity. The formula covers like a dream-- and is a very good product. This formula ranges around $13 - $14.00, but I would run this up against some of the better bases that I've bought and paid for at the high end department stores.
