I cannot get my burned DVD to play in my new PS2. It says it cannot find the disk. How can I fix this?

I know that in the old playstation (playstation 1) you had to have a chip installed for it to play burned dvd's I am not sure about the new ones but if you know someone that works on computers they can probably install the chip that you need. Good luck.

Most times if its DVD Video.... (is it?) then the problem is Bad Media... ie Melody dvd+r ...(Not Great Quality) Try Burnibg to Verbatim DVD-R these are the most compatible.. also please note DVD RW is not supported.please note that you can only play a DVD Video on Ps2 other formats are not supported. Hope this helps:)
