I think that it is a combination of the economic slowdown and that people are taking this now as an opportunity to finally eat healthier.

people cant afford it anymore. kids will save any money they get for better things than food - which they get from their parents at home.

Because they opened up a bunch of mcds in other countries and they were not successful so they are closing them down again. Also on the same note, there are only so many people who will eat that type of food in the world.

The extra money people do have (if they have it)they are spending on better quality restaurants to treat themselves.

Because Burger King makes a bigger/better tasting $1 double cheeseburger and fries now and their two for four chicken/whopper deal is great!

Their prices are getting too high for a fast food venue. When they first started the burgers were 19¢. Now you could go to an upscale sit-down restaurant and get an entree for what McDonald's wants for one burger. Why pay $5 for a greasy piece of gristle on a bun when $5 will buy you a foot-long at Subway full of healthy meats and veggies.

the last time i had a burger at the golden arches, i got a terrific headache after the first bite. hey, i dont need that. so i dumped the burger and kept the fries.

I am like so tired of McDonald's haven't had that in 3 months...They are slowing cause not filling and its taste the same since they came out.
