Yup true, at least I don't remember the table cloth, but yeah sounds like the kinda place! PS. I'm glad you decided to stick around a little longer!

Sure, I take my wife to those kinds of places quite frequently. She responds very positively to our romantic times together, why would I not do what works to keep us focused on one another? Twice to three times a month or more often.
-
Yes, and to be honest it wasnt the best food i have ate either, it was good, but not the best.

Yes, I have - on multiple occasions. The last time, it must have been all about "ambiance", cos the food was horrible.

True, Amazing place called The Chophouse, in Downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Tried Antelope there before I became a vegetarian and it was the best steak I'd ever had. Its also where I proposed to my wife. I remember how two servers would come out with each course and place your plate in front of each person at exactly the same time and after each entree the servers would come and scrape the crumbs off the table cloth. made me feel like I was 5 years old. dinner ended up costing almost 200 bucks after drinks, appetizer, dinner, and tip. But it was a true experience. Server had entire menu memorized including exactly how meals were prepared and where the meat came from. Great thing about it was when they found out I had just proposed, they only charged me half price.

Accidentally. I was with a Friend in France and we wanted lunch. So we saw this nice little outdoor cafe, and got a table. We were both dressed casually, jeans, plain polo shirt, sneakers. The waiters were snooty as hell, and the food was expensive,(About 85 euro which was $60 at the time). As it turns out the place had a Michelin star. Who knew? That explains the snooty treatment of the plain clothes American and German tourists.
