I have never felt my hair growing, but maybe that's because hair grows so sloooooooowly! I sure can see when it's shaggy enough to cut, though.
-
I doubt it ! In all my 60 Years on this earth; I've NEVER felt my hair growing .. +5
-
Sure. Why not. I feel it falling out.
-
I don't think you can feel it growing, but once it grows (so slowly that you can't feel it), you will feel the "presence" of the hair that grew. But by the time you feel it, it has already grown. I heard about some mind expanding drugs used in the `60's that enabled you to feel your hair grow and hear the blood moving through your arteries and veins, but I don't know anyone who had any first hand experience to verify this. I think it might be a myth!
-
No it's not.
-
Umm I swear once in the 70's I could! /smirk

Take some LSD or Mescaline. You can feel everything. Your blood pumping, you can see through your skin, you can see the liquid on your eyes and you can feel everything.
-
Yea but I always thought that was dandruff.
-
No. Hair is made of dead tissue. Dead tissues can't be felt.
-
No, your hair grows too slow to feel it growing...Healthy hair growth is roughly 1.25 centimeters or 0.5 inches per month, being about 15 centimeters or 6 inches per year. With age the speed of hair growth might slow down to as little as 0.25 cm or 0.1 inch a month. +

No, I do not think it is possible unless I can fast-pace it.

Yes, if you suffer from schizophrenia. Then you could probably hear it too.

Maybe, if you're either really bored, or really damned Zen.
-
Maybe if you're on acid.... lol

I have never heard of such a thing. Now listening to it grow, that is another matter.

I wouldn't think so.

Even if it was, You'd probably have no way to know whether what You feel is hair growing, hair being there or something else.
-
I can see it clearly when looking in the mirror that it is growing but feel? Nah, dont feel it. Might be something else that gives you a strange sensation which you think is your hair growing? +
-
YEARS ago, when I first started growing facial hair, I remember how those much those sharp, coarse hairs felt when they broke through my skin. It wasn't "all of a sudden", the way it is in the movies, but more gradual, such as throughout the day my neck itched incessantly. It was just the sensation of something new happening to me, the hairs continued to grow, but over time I just became used to it to the point that it wasn't (and hasn't been) noticeable any more.

Actually it is possible. It's a nerve disorder. Very rare though.
