  • because it doesn't take as much intelligence to do accounting, it takes some know how and the ability to deal with numbers, but Being a Engineer takes a whole lot more.

  • maybe engineers are harder to come by than accountants....maybe engineers had to pay much more to become one , in time and money......maybe their JOB is much more complicated and harder...... maybe cause they earned the RIGHT to be paid MORE... guess you are envious ...how greedy.... thats like asking why the a schools principal earns more than a cafeteria worker...why a supervisor earns more than his employees....YUK!!!!socialism....
  • The level of training needed is different. Licensing requirements in some areas can drastically reduce the number of available engineers and the specialization of an engineer is also a major factor. Like you wouldn't have a marine engineer trying to design an Aerospace object. Also with modern technology and software Suites of accounting software the accountant has became more of a data entry clerk than anything else. I personally feel that a CPA without massive amounts of experience is better off looking for a different line of work.
