They have just removed it from British prisons because the convicts were getting drunk with the stuff.

Didn't know that, but I did read it can weaken your immune system and also some contain estrogen which is not too good for a guy. I think you have to go swimming in it for any side effects though.

If a kid's dumb enough to drink that stuff they have bigger problems to deal with than a bit of alcohol poisoning.

Vicks, at WalMart and Walgreen contains no alcohol. Its a little more expensive, but it lasts a lot longer.

I'm not surprised because I've read the ingredients. The sanitizers with aloe vera smell good, so I can see where that might entice some children to drink it. However, I've accidentally tasted aloe vera sanitizers before and the taste is nasty to me. I think there might be some orange-scented sanitizers that they might find even more attractive.

Do you think that ordinary soap would be any healthier to consume? Alcohol usually tastes awful to children. If anything speaks against the product, it's that alcohol dries out the skin, and that it's not necessary and even detrimental in a regular household to disinfect your skin that way.

Yes, actually there were 15,000 cases with kids and hand sanitizer poisoning in 2021.
