if i'm not smarter than a five year old, i'd think i'd have to end it all right there. & i'd take that smart little kid with me. just kidding. i'd just feel pretty stupid. unless the kid was like a prodigy, then i wouldn't feel so bad.
-
Most five year olds are smarter than me
-
Absolutely, positively THRILLED. I have met such children and if they are smarter than me, that is quite a feat. I taught some children from India that were so brilliant, it made my day when I could spend time with these special little souls. Kids today are so amazingly gifted that I'm enchanted with how the human race is evloving. They did not just invent the term Indigo Child, it is a reality.

I like to teach people. If I taught children, the idea that a child was smarter then I was would be the highest honor I could get as a teacher. +5

ask the people who loose on that game show are you smarter than a 5th grader. its not the same age but still its kind of funny.
-
Not completely shocked. Not unless it was my'n anyway. ... How did they feel?
-
Kids have amazed me more than once with their insight and honesty. It makes me feel great.
-
Embarrassed and impressed at the same time
-
its more common than one thinks.........
-
I'd feel like this was the natural order of things.
-
not surprised, kids are always smarter.
-
i'd call him "SON"
-
Like I was becoming senile. LOL
-
I would be impressed
-
Not too bothered, now if every 5 yr old was smarter than me I'd be worried. : )
-
If all else failed I could still beat them up :)
-
very impressed and would pretend i taught them everything they knew
-
Extremely proud and impressed all things considering.
-
I would feel like inviting him to a fist fight........ well, come to think about it....probably not. He might kick my ass too, lol. That would be even more embarrassing.
-
I met one once. I was also 5, so it didn't really matter to me. Also, I had mixed feelings of what exactly was 'smarter'. All day he would sit with a calculator and memorise the answers to equations. He could reel these off quite easily. However, when presented with paradox or logical absurdity, he could neither identify, nor rationalise. . I used to speak like that when I was five too. I was fucking creepy.
-
In my mind, smartness is hard to put a scale on. If there was some way of definitively saying that a 5 year old were smarter than me, then I would be impressed and would probably seek to learn from them.
-
Impressed and a little sad, the child would be highly unlikely to experience ordinary social interaction with other children.
-
retared duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Proud of the five year old, upset with my college teachers!
-
i wouldn't be shocked.
-
Well, to be completely honest, i would be a little jealous at first. But then after a while I will stop thinking about it, and move on with my life. :D ++
-
What do You mean by "smart"?
-
Today, they are but it doesn't bother me.

here are some web sites that you might like to take a look at, they offer a differing perspective on metaphysics and the possibility of just what it is that we dont fully know or understand, not that I proclaim to know, I just know that what we dont know is huge, and its impacting on the majority of us, to the negative !:) thks for your valuable insight and knowledge. http://www.ourultimatereality.com/
