I'm with Shatzee. I would need a phone or some sort of communication.
-
I do not have a TV. I reckon I could survive another week
-
It would be easier than staying off the internet. Would it be OK to DVR a couple of things?
-
easily
-
Yeah sure, I don't watch TV much.
-
I've gone months without television and I'm sure I could live without it for the rest of my life. Cigarettes however.....those I need - and coffee.
-
I wouldn't have a problem doing it.
-
lol i have 2 they collect dust for me to clean weekly so yes !!!
-
Well, my TV is only ever on to watch DVDs or when I fire up my PS2, so I think I could manage ;)

I could live without TV

I often do. The internet, though? Not so much. It's my information superhighway!
-

-
I use the internet more now so I don't watch tv that much. I might watch one or two shows during the week, so yeah I probably could go without it for a week.

Day 1: Everything is going fine. I discover outdoor activities such as swimming and biking and don't even remember this invention called TV. Day 2: I have another day filled with outdoor recreation. As a arrive home, I rest on my couch but suddenly realize there is nothing to do. I open one of these so called books, but I think it was broken since it only presented a script. Day 3: My constant state of exercise takes a toll on me. I would eat, but I have no idea where to go since there are no advertisements telling me what to do. I devour what is left in my fridge, but feel guilty about it since I cant remember if it was on sale or not. Day 4: I break down and go out hunting for someone else's TV. I see a house with a TV on and go up to check it out. My head is through the window about to experience the technicolor delicacy that is TV when a woman in the house gets the silly idea that I am trying to break in. She sprays me with pepper spray, but not before I see a commercial for $1 junior whopper. I go to Burger King and order five. Day 5: I'm starting to feel the effects of not watching TV. My back feels better, my eyes barely burn anymore, and I think I've lost weight from all the exercise. For four hours, I sit on my couch and pretend to be watching a Full House marathon on ABC Family. Day 6: I woke up from a nightmare. The CEO's of ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX were all crying. They had been losing so much money after I stopped watching TV that their year-end bonuses would be cut by $5,000. It was horrible. Right before I woke up I heard one say he might not be able to afford his summer home in Georgia. I suddenly realize that it is my duty to watch TV. I run downstairs, but slip, hit my head and pass out. Day 7: I am in what medical experts may refer to as a coma. Day 8: I wake up around 2am, and there is blood everywhere. My head is still throbbing, but I look at the calender and realize I can watch TV again. All pain forgotten, I sit on the couch, turn on the TV, and make up for lost time by not moving for 18 hours.
-
Yes, if I were allowed to keep my computer.
-
NNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!Why would you take away my TV?
-
Easily, mostly repeats anyway.
-
Yes, have gone without one for as long as 6 weeks at a time. Why need a tv when you have the computer?
-
Yes, but not happily.
-
I could, would miss it, but could.
-
I was deployed to the Middle East for a year and had VERY limited access to TV and I came out of it just fine. So yeah, you can definitely live without TV. I DID have internet though...
-
Yes, and I have a number of times.
-
Id probably live longer without Oxygen
-
Yes I have a computer with Internet and its can entertain so much more better.
-
My plasma worked for 367 days and broke on the first day guarantee was over. Not that I can't get a new one, I'm just so upset that kinda don't even wanna get to TV topic, including watching it. I'm being like this for a week now.
-
Yeah - it's been about 9002 days for me so far...
-
Easily.
-
Yep, not a problem.
-
yep.
-
Yes... *Unless Big Bang Theory was on...then no, but just for that show.
-
I am not a slave to television or the internet. Life is full of activities. Constantly sitting in front of a television screen is not healthy for the body, especially the eyes. Outside activities are much more of a "turn on".
-
months.
-
Of course
-
Heck, I live without it for months at a time. It's become a wasteland; garbage.
-
I could live without a TV my whole life.
-
Sure. Once I lived for a year without TV.
-
Without a doubt!
-
Sure I have done it before. I live a busy life.
-
Absolutely.
-
Very easily, I rarely watch tv. I didn't have a tv for a year and a half and didn't miss it one bit.
-
Yip. But I would be dead tired by the end of the week as this is the one place I get the most sleep.
-
and a month
-
Yes, without a problem.
-
Very easily.
-
For the rest of my life. Television is just like this computer, addictive.
-
I used to be interested in TV and spent some considerable time watching it. I have decided to slowly wean TV from my life, but not completely of course. Your question has posed another challenge to my life! So I could answer "yes" because without TV for a week should be a breeze.
