my ruler has changed. i now measure a man by how he treats others, how responsible he is with money & time, his priorities & goals, his sense of humor, and most of all how well he can handle an intelligent woman. (does he stretch my boundaries and encourage me or put me down and try to hold me back).

By the nobility of his motivations and intentions and by how true he remains to his word ...in adversity, when it's difficult to keep his word... and equally as important; when there would be no consequences to him NOT keeping his word.

He is resilient, dependable and honorable. A good man is many things - many more than just those.
