Yes, as long as it's taught correctly and completely and not just as a biology type class. If the student is not going to be taught at school, then it should still be required to be taught at home or some other place, as long as it is taught in it's entirety, including the emotional ramifications and psychological effects it can have on a person.

After seeing the "am I pregnant" questions on here I would say sex education should be mandatory because it appears to be very lacking, it was mandatory when I was at school.

YES. My high school had an abstinence only education system, and our high pregnancy rate showed that.

Absolutely. I want every child conceived to be wanted, not the result of an "accident" or sexual ignorance.

100%!!! The county in which I live has the highest teen pregnancy rate because of lack of proper education - these girls aren't even getting to enjoy being a teenager because they're too busy being a mom already :(
