  • I agree that it's just too much information ... constantly in the media! But sadly, it's not going to stop for a long time. This stuff gets high ratings and sells a lot of magazines.
  • Another hand goes up.
  • Nope your correct, but it's the money and the blood suckers and leeches are out in force ..NOW that one is the one you could get slammed for ... ~Nemo~
  • Talk about overkill, the people here are going ballistic and the news and the newspapers, you can't help but see and hear about it every minute on the minute. Arrghhhh!!!
  • P. T. Barnum comes to mind.
  • Yes, I've stopped watching any type of news program because of it.
  • It's sad that he passed, however, I am more than a little pissed off that on a day when there were hundreds of people being beaten and arrested fighting for their freedom in Iran, there was a military coup in Hondouras, and we were marking the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the top news story on EVERY CHANNEL was MJ. I'm not saying that he wasn't talented, important, or deserving of our respect for his contributions to the music industry: I think he was. But there are more important things going on in the world right now.
  • No slam here. I'm tired of the news covering such events Ad Nauseum. I know he's dead already, I don't need 24/7 coverage detailing the minutia of his passing. MJ's passed on, his children are being taken care of, that's really all I care about. Can we cover some world news? What's going on in Iceland? Canada? Is everyone just hanging out and doing nothing in Spain? How about millions of people getting killed in Rwanda? Isn't THAT newsworthy?
  • and here you are spreading the word of MJ. ironic!
  • I agree, it is just too much! MJ was an important icon in music but, come on, (BREAKING NEWS: MICHAEL JACKSON IS STILL DEAD...) enough is enough.
  • I find it informative. I never knew so much about him and his family. +4
  • I was tired of it after about three hours of continuous coverage. Then I found out it was EVERYWHERE!!!
  • You won't get slammed by me. It's overkill whether one is a fan or not. To me the news was that he passed away. The contents of his will, the fate of his children, the egotism of his father, the fine details of his life and death are not newsworthy. I like some of his music. He's gone now. But the controversy sells newspapers and news time and magazines and books and soon we'll have "Michael the Movie"--none of which will I be involved with. It's like Watergate, Princess Diana, ad infinitum....
  • All I have to say is, you think this is annoying, wait till someone popular dies.
  • This is why I don't watch TV news. The story sells, it gets ratings up and they'll milk it until everyone, including ardent fans are all completely tired of it. Wringing MJ's death for every last dollar the big boys can squeeze out of it is just sick.
