  • I think she should hook up with the guy of the "what do you think of a man who can't cook for himself?" question and live happily ever after.
  • She just hasn't tried or been taught. Anyone (barring mental/physical handicaps) CAN change their own oil.
  • lazy !!
  • her boobs must be huge
  • No one has taught her.
  • She might be making enough money to pay someone else to do it.
  • I think she can afford to have someone else do it. Or maybe she has someone else do it cause she doesn't want to get her hands dirty. Just like a lot of men. Or like me, my truck is under warranty and I have to have someone else do it. No big deal.
  • She probably has no interest in it, just as some men have no interest in it.
  • she's not much different than me... (I can, but I won't...)
  • Sounds like she understands it's a better use of her time to drop the car by the shop.
  • Could be a whole lot of factors. I know how to change my oil, but because of fibromyalgia, I find it almost impossible to get the filter off. So I'd rather let someone stronger and in better health do it for me.
  • I think a woman should at least know the very basics of her car in times of trouble. Most of us can pay to have it done but i like to know i can.
  • most girls I know dont know how to do that some guys dont either I would say its fairly normal, but I would teach my woman.
  • Stop talking about me on Ab! ;) hee I'm not interested in changing oil, myself.
  • I will always love my daughter with all my heart
  • You mean the woman who hasn't been taught to change her own oil? (Gosh it sounds bad, doesn't it?) Well, that's most of us, actually so try to have a little grace. I think she would be interested to learn to do this for herself but most of us don't admit it because we don't want to seem too tomboy-ish. It is something she could be proud of, though. I think women who refuse to participate in the care of their own vehicle probably shouldn't be driving one for their own safety. It's ok if she cares for her own vehicle by having it serviced by someone else. We don't live in a society where mechanical know-how is an imperitive skill for everyone. Thank God we have nurses, teachers, moms and carpenters too.
  • I would call her a woman, that's a man's job! I have no problem taking car of my girls car especially if she's not interested in it or does not know how; it's not improbable that she split a knuckle open (like I have) or something, then you got a whole new problem!
  • I don't have a problem with that. What do you think of a man who can't sew a new zipper in his jacket or pants? :):)
  • no problem, she can learn!
  • Perhaps they don't need to change their own oil. Take it to the garage and they will do it for her. Why not?
  • Im sure she does many things that you cannot do. Not a lot of women are going to want to do that.
  • Should I think less of her or a man that cannot knit himself a jacket ... Many men cannot change the oil in a car ... there's nothing to think ... either you can or cannot. Not everyone is a mechanic. Peace
  • One of two things. Either she was never taught or she has no interest. Either way it's not a negative mark on her.
  • My wife's one of them, evidently she crashed the home network since I've been gone too. I taught my daughters the basics and they've carried on. Of course you want, my wife, not me, around when you're bleeding. We all have out skills and likes and dislikes. I can't sew very well and she's a better cook. The fact that she doesn't even know where the oil filter is or that she's hell on the computer system doesn't diminish my love or respect for her, it just makes me a little more careful.
  • If her fingernails are clean than I want to marry her...........
  • Highly intelligent!
  • I used to change my oil until the quickchange places opened up. Now it is absolutely not worth it to do-it-yourself. You barely break even and if you do your total time was worth maybe a dollar an hour. When they do it, there are no spills and no pollution--when you do it, maybe so, maybe not.
  • Maybe she'd rather drop it off at Wal-Mart's automotive department while she shops, gets a manicure, pedicure, haircut, gets her Optical needs tended to, does her banking, stops by pharmacy, eats lunch and maybe even buys one of those rotisserie chickens for her family for supper all in the same place! Booyah! lol
