In Phoenix, AZ is it legal for a landlord to raise the rent without 30 day written notice and is there a cap on how much the rent can be raised at a time. My lease is up and they are trying to raise my rent $90 without notifying me.

contact the rent board in your city to find out what the local laws are for renters, this provides guidlines for renters rights. Normally the landlord has to give 30 days notice for increases or changes in the agreement, instead of having a Lease for a year with everthing at a fixed cost you are now on a 30 day agreement and if he changes things then you can either conform or move. Check the local laws and find out your rights.
