Yes many times. I live in Minnesota.
-
Plenty of times on the way to and from the slopes when snow boarding.
-
Yes, it sucks unless your driving in a blizzard.

I found a safe haven driving a snowplow driving down from the Sierras with no chains in a pretty big storm. I finally stopped, had a cook put chains on, continued got behind a plow felt safe for once in the night. I was by myself. I made the mistake of following him off the offramp where he then turned under the overpass to go the other direction leaving a wall of snow on the onramp about 5 feet high so I just floored it and rammed through.

No snow situation here in India

G'day Nunya, Thank you for your question. Heavy snow sufficient to close snow is fairly rare in Australia so I haven't been. Regards

Lot's of time's
-
no,but it must be really annoying.have you?
-
Quite often. Sometimes it's better to be behind one than in front during a bad snowstorm.
-
Yup, sure have. Many times.
-
A few times.

We don't get less and less snow every year in Washington State, b/c of global warming. We do get a lot of rain. Have you ever been stuck behind a rain plow? It's terrible!
-
Yes, very messy!
-
I have; it's no fun.
-
..no, but I have been stuck behind those doggone harvest machines.....yeehaw buddy, do ya have second gear!!!!!! lol "so just smile and wave, and tip yer hat to the man up on the tractor" Craig Morgan

One time I remember very well. Thanksgiving Eve, I got out of work at midnight and I had to take a winding, two lane highway home. Had to drive behind the plow, no possible way to pass.
-
Several times. I don't mind it on very snowy days - they clear the road in front of you, but when they get out only after a dusting and start flinging the old salt around, I think is annoying and wasteful.
-
does a road gritter count?
-
Many times, but it is better than being behind a school bus picking up students.
-
Or, have you ever been plowed while driving in a truck in the snow? See how I twisted that around and made it my own? I left out the word stuck, could not make work for some reason...Wait, I did not answer your question...Yes many times since I grew up in Lake Tahoe NV
-
Yep. Behind a school bus also and a little old lady in a 60s Cadillac too
-
No but I was stuck "in front of one" last winter on a small icy hill. There was no way he could push me so he backed up quite a ways while I scraped ice from the road. That did not work so well, so I also backed up and made several attempts, finally making it to a small spot with no ice. That gave me the traction needed to finally make it the rest of the way.

In Jan 76, I was driving with two friends from Fla to Mass. We followed a major storm all the way up the east coast. At one point we were following a formation of 5 plows and going maybe 30 mph. An impatient Beemer passed us and the plows. About ten minutes later we saw the Beemer on its roof in the median. I don't mind following plows, as long as they are not spraying salt/sand at the same time.

I slipped on the ice and totaled out my car when I was driving behind a snow plow.
