  • Well I am not a parent, I'm 16, but I always wear my seatbelt and haven't forgotten since October 2004.
  • That's a shame. I don't have kids, but when I was little, and up until now, I always wore/wear a seatbelt. I never understood what is so difficult about putting one on. It's not like they are user unfriendly, or uncomfortable, and the people who claim that seatbelts kill have very little grounding for their claim.
  • Every person in every seat every time. No seat belt no ride.
  • When our kids were small, the seat belts were just invented. They were not even built in then, ..we ordered those to be installed into our car ( in Germany). Since then we all buckled up ever since. We are not driving even a very short distance without the seat belts in place. Our sons in Germany had accidents with teir cars in deep winter on black ice and lived to tell their stories because they were wearing the seat belts. The cars were a total loss. Cars made in Germany won't even start when not buckled up....
  • My daughter is only 9 months old so of course she's buckled up before I even start the car.
  • My kids always wear seat belts, they havta. But ME and my husband just started wearing them recently. He got me a seat belt ticket on our way to colorado, it was 30+ dollars!...So...yeah But I had an accident when I was 18...If I had my seatbelt on it would have actually killed me, but I didnt...And I ended up down by the gas peddle...my seat got smashed up into the dash...I would have been a gonner they said. But since I didnt have it on, it saved me. I think it really just depends. Its good to have your seat belt on, but in some cases...it works out that they didnt. There was also a girl in Goddard (6 miles away) She was driving and got in a wreck and got decapitated by a seat belt...it was sad...
  • Thanks for showing this on here. If you save one life by showing this won't that really be wonderful. I really dont like seat belts but I would hate the dash board or the wind shield more. Thanks BigDaddyBS
  • Always. I'm from the seat belt generation, so my parents taught me to always wear it. It feels odd to even start the car before I even have it on. My kids are the same way.
  • Not only does she wear it, she makes sure everyone else does too.
  • Always. It is ingrained in them. My older son is 22 and he will not move the car unless everyone is buckled up. My husband used to be notorious for not wearing his seatbelt and the kids used to ask him if we got in a wreck, while he's flying around the car if he could try to avoid hitting them and stuff like that. Now he always wears his.
  • My car has a strict rule. If everyone in it is not buckled up, it somehow just refuses to move....
  • My son wears his WITHOUT FAIL!! I wear mine on the highway but not in town. +5
  • Yuppers state law where I'm from. I'll always wear mine too.
  • My daughter always wears her seatbelt. It has become automatic for her everytime she gets in a car.
  • It took me a while to start using them but now I wouldn't drive without one. I actually got thrown all the way across the car once and I was driving. If we had seatbelts in those days that wouldn't have happened.
  • What a sad story! In our Family, the car does not move until the seat belts are fastened. Thanks for posting this important reminder!
