I have an application built in VB2008 that uses an SQL database as a back-end datasource. As the database is constantly updated, is there anyway, if one user changes something, all of the other users can be told, and asked if they want to refresh?

Maybe check the file date/time of your sql log with VB. I think it would have a modified date/time everytime that a SQL transaction occurs. Use VB to make and icon or pop-up window to all users like an alarm that says the database has been changed every time that the file modified date is not the same as it was last read/recorded/put in session/written to a file. Any help?
