Cool question. It was Disney World the year after it opened(it's a lot bigger now). I was in second grade and had a broken ankle. They gave me a wheel chair so I didn't have to use my crutches all the time. My twin sister and I also got to move to the front of the line because I was in a wheel chair.

Kiddyland in Northlake, IL. was the first. They had an actual steam powered steam engine and a huge roller coaster. They also had a pony ride and one of the ponies started to stand up on two legs once when I was riding it!! I was about 6 years old at the time. I also remember Riverview in Chicago. They had a roller coaster that left its tracks and rolled around in a tube!

Big one? Hmmm, well, I was never into rides.... so I don't think I went to a major one until I moved to Virginia. Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is beautiful, even for the non-rollercoaster-ers.

That would either be Canobie Lake Park or Six Flags in Agawam, Massachusetts before it became Six Flags (I don't recall what the name was).

We had a lunar Park about fifteen miles from where I lived (Scarborough) You had to walk through a great big face's mouth to get in. It had bumper cars, electric boats and a couple of stalls where you could try to win a prise. This was an outing you would not forget. A hamburger to finish the night off was extra special. Yes, good times.

They didn't have them when I was a kid.
