Definitely. It made me make some very rash decisions in my darkest times, decisions which I had to live with for several years.
-
Yeah, several times. Those are personal experiences of a living hell. I hope I am learning ways to beat it, so that eventually it becomes something like a minor headache to me.
-
No. A Praise to Our Lord, His Joy and guidance has blessed me with peace. There have been times I knew that was the direction I might be headed, but turned to the Lord in prayer and He delivered me from it. To avoid going down this road I do have to crucify the flesh daily and stay active in His word, stay focused on Him and be obedient in His word. His blessings have been beyond belief.

Not held up. But a few adjustments made here and there. Like postponing of some construction or purchase of some new equipment. But life and business go on as usual.
-
I've had my share of speed bumps and pot holes.
-
Yes, but I'm trying to push through the rough patch

i wouldn't say held up. it was something i had to go though ;)
-
yes for many years. I am trying my best to overcome it but sometimes life just throws things at you that you can't control and no matter how hard you try, the depression just hangs around.
-
Actually, that is a good way to put it. I do believe that depression sometimes is the bodies answer to us going to fast, too much stress, etc. We don't know how to slow down and the depression slams us back to reality. I suffered with this and I don't wish it on anyone, but I feel I was abusing my body with too much activity, running around, etc. I wound up so exhausted and overwhelmed with just getting up and wanting to live that I was incapacitated for a good six months. It sucked. I had a hormone imbalance that I finally corrected, most people are not that lucky.

Nothing seems to stop the passage of time...

Yes, I experienced sudden hearing loss when I was in my thirties that radically changed my life. I was quiet depressed for a year or so afterward and it held up and changed many part or my life. Depression is real but it is overcome able.
-
Yes, Zack, alot of my young life was spent in depression. In fact, I tried to even kill myself a few times. But I thank God for it, because it was a result of my depression that I found God and experienced His great love for me.
