  • Innova Puppy food is about the best..very expensive, but top notch. You may have to look around your town to find it. And the puppy should be on this until about 12 months old.
  • My first step would be to take this pup to the vets for evaluation. He is definitely going to need worming. The food will be utilized better if he is worm free. I would hold off on his first inoculation until he is bit stronger - maybe 8 1/2 - 9 weeks. I don't like stressing a pup with multiple treatments given at the same time. As to food: there are a ton of quality foods such as... Wellness Innova California Natural Grammy's Pot Pie - made by Merrick ( they make lots ) Canidae - made for all life stages I would go with the Canidae right now. The protein level is not as high as some of the puppy foods. I would rather have slow steady growth than spurts that might cause Panosteitis.
  • I would not rven begin to advise when the puppy has not been to the vet to be tested for parvo, heart worm or been dewormed or given puppy shots. A vet needs to tell you what specifics the puppy needs for its current health..
