A friend of mine put two of our computers together to my specifications. I bought the other, a strange machine called Iyonix, running an operating system called RISCOS, specially to run the best mathematical wordprocessor in the world, Techwriter. What? You've never heard of it? Not surprising, because it was first written for the BBC microcomputer, and was never ported to Windows or, worse luck, to Linux. It is so good I bought the computer just to run this one piece of software. I wrote all my scientific manuscripts with it.

Online (Newegg) http://www.newegg.com/ Since then, I've added memory, two hard drives, a floppy drive, two optical drives, memory, a video card, and an Ethernet (LAN) card (since the onboard LAN went to sleep). O ya, and a power supply. It's more fun to fix things than to junk them and waste $$ on new stuff.

At a shop in 2002 and she's doing just fine!
