      That's weird. Otis REDDING, the guy who recorded the most famous version of the same song, also died three days after he recorded it, and he too died in a plane crash. Uncanny!
  • I don't know who Otis Reading was. The version of "Dock Of The Bay" I remember as a child was by Otis Redding, and he died shortly after he recorded it. I think it was the last song he recorded. It turned out to be his biggest hit, but sadly he didn't live to see it reap the reward it richly deserved.
