Eddie Van Halen. He's done a lot of really good rhythm work, but from what I've heard of his playing, his leads seem uninspired and consist of little more than two-note hammers. I would say me, except that I was never rated that highly. :p

Here's a recent list of the top 100 as rated by Rolling Stone. I'm sure I will get complaints about this, but I never thought Keith Richards was that 'great': http://rocknrollchef.blogspot.com/2009/02/rolling-stones-100-greatest-guitarists.html

Jack White. I know he's a recent addition but I have no idea why he's on the top 100 list.

I've always thought most of Kirk Hammett's solos sound pretty similar.

CC from Poison...I mean he was pretty bad ass, but could have been better

I never cared much for Eric Clapton's guitarbation. I'm not a huge fan of Paul McCartney, either.

Anyone who used to play on the Dave Clark Five.

Guitar is an emotional instrument. It depends a lot on the listener but I never judge bad guitarists, just really really good ones.

Esteban. But I guess he's having some troubles, maybe health issues. I do admire what he's doing to try to get quality guitars and instruction into the hands of more people.

Interesting to see a lot of people going for Eddie Van Halen. I agree with the Clapton nomination. He was great live but seemed to lack some ooomph.

Yngvie Malmsteen
-
Slash, but i think Joe Satriani is underrated
