  • I believe it is roundworm. Cats and kittens do have them. I'd call a vet and ask cuz there is a wormer for that. I've dealt with roundworm in kittens and puppies a number of times over the years. Or look up roundworm on the net and see if it matches what you have.
  • Sounds like round worms. You need to take it to a vet because if it's at this stage there's a seriouse infestation.
  • No, they are not roundworms. They are tapeworms. When they show in kitty poop, they are small sections of the tapeworm that has broken off. Please get your cat wormed for tapeworms (the meds in regular grocery stores are for round or hook worms and will not work). Chicken liver (boiled, mashed and added garlic powder-just a dash) or even baby chicken liver can help. If you look up 'tapeworms' on the net, you can find pictures of them...if you choose. What happens is if the cat/kitten has fleas, they lick the flea, swallow it and it grows into the tapeworm. If not taken care of it can cause intestinal/bowel issues and in some cases lead to flea anemia, which can cause death in weakened kittens or older cats. Sorry to be so brutal, but I had a kitten pass away last month from the same issue. I hope your cat gets better.
  • If the spaghetti-like description is accurate, like a shorter, slimmer white version of an earthworm this is roundworm infestation. If they are short, squat, pulsating things they are gravid tapeworm segments. Either way, take them to your vet and he will give you the appropriate medication.
  • It's more likely tape worms. If you see them again and they are kind of rectangular shaped (or rice shaped) with a smaller area joining them together, they are tape worms. (Picture a bunch of dashes hooked together). But the other answer was correct in that you need to get into a vet. Very seldom does the infestation get bad enough that they are thrown up. The medicine is fairly inexpensive and NEEDED to stop the problem.
  • Tape worm it is and probably heart worm cannot be seen, consult a vet. pet stores have about any medication needed to treat your beloved kitty.Best of luck and counsult a veternarin.
  • if i had to guess, i'd say tape worms, you should take your cat to the vets, because some of the over the counter worm medicine doesn't get rid of certain kinds of worms, so a vet could tell you exactly what kind you need to treat. P>S> the vet will need you to bring in a stool sample. good luck to you and your cat.
  • maybe you should take your cat to the vet
