Depends on what kind of pie. If it's a cream pie, it should be cold. If it's a fruit type pie, I love them fresh, still warm from the oven, not burn your mouth hot, but just warm enough to melt the ice cream that will go with it.

depends on the type of pie I am eating.

I like apple pie warm, any other fruit pie cold.

Fruit pies should be served warm, just slightly above room temperature, as if cooled for approximately 2 hours after baking. Lemon meringue and custard pies, room temp. Cream pies, chilled.
-
Apple pie from the oven warm with a slab of 4-year cheddar on it (this at room temp). Cherry pie the same way but without cheese. Warm with crispy crust. Cream pie cold but not refrigerator cold. Out for a while first. NEVER PUT PIE IN THE MICROWAVE! That will kill it dead.

I don't eat them... Check the fat and calories in one of those babies! You can feel the grease coat the roof of your mouth as you swallow... That makes me gag!

Nice and warm please!
