I think this is more of a problem for younger women. by the time you get to your 40s, you don't care any more. You just want to get your stuff and go. LOL
-
It doesnt really matter to me.
-
I don't care. 50% of the population uses them for an extended period. What baffles me is the people who think there is something strange, icky, or "secret" about it.
-
As a man I have purchased them many times (I do have a wife and 2 daughters). It just doesn't matter to me.
-
It is only an issue for younger women, as you get older it's not a big deal at all. It's nice when you get comfortable shopping for those kinds of things because there is a large selection and everyone prefers something different. Don't be embarrassed, take your time and browse!
-
I am a man who proudly purchases feminine hygiene products. They are like a badge that cries "I am in a relationship with a woman!"
-
It never bothered me to go buy them. I sent a man to get tampons once, and he was whining about it. I told him, "I am pretty sure that no one will think they are for you"
-
i don't care. it's funny watching the expression's of people. i usually go to the check-out line with younger girls. it can be priceless.
-
I don't care either way and I'm a younger woman. I'm sure the other women in the store probably do or have had to do the same thing and who cares what guys think.
-
I makes no difference to me. I'm going to buy what I need/want regardless of what the general population thinks.
-
If I need them I buy them and I don't care how busy the store is...I would hope that most people are mature enough to realize why women require these items
-
sometimes i help my girlfriend do her shopping errands..and sometimes she asks me to buy tampons/ sanitary napkins..and yes! i always wished the store would be almost empty! and quickly go to the nearest open checkout lol..
-
I don't think it matters at all. If you need them, you need them, and all women will. It's not like anyone's going to look at them and think "OH MY LORD SHE MUST BE THE ONLY GIRL ON THE PLANET THAT HAS A PERIOD! GROSS!"
-
Well, at my age, I'd rather be buying tampons than diapers. lol So, I don't really care if it's crowded.
-
As a female, it doesn't matter to me. I actually have a story to follow up with: My sister didn't want to go into the store for her tampons, so being the nice sister that I am, I went for her. The thing with her is that she shops in bulk, so I had to pick up three boxes of tampons for her. Count them, three! So, I was waiting in line and feeling rushed because I was due at work in about 5 minutes, and a group of men- maybe 4, 5 of them- noticed my frustration and let me get ahead of them in line. The man closest to me noticed what I was buying and whispered to his friend, "three boxes?? Do they need that many?" To which his friend lamely replied, "I don't think so. They must be on sale or something." I laughed at them, and it turned into a huge thing where everyone around that was pretending not to hear it started laughing too. Since then, it's been no big deal.
-
Let's face it. Everyone is too embarassed to stare at them if they notice, so no big deal.
-
I don't care much about how crowded or empty the store is, I'd just like to be purchasing something else with it.
-
I dont care now, when you get to late 30s,it doesnt matter,it matters more when your younger and have just started your menstuation.
-
I used to be self conscious as a kid getting one from a coin operated dispenser in a rest room. At the store, you really don't care. I stockpiled them so I haven't purchased any in years.
-
empty for me i live in a really small town so there's a pretty big chance that i might see someone i know
-
It doesn't matter ! There's nothing to hide :-) !
-
It doesn't matte. I proudlt stroll down the aisles with my always maxi pads and tampons.
-
Oh Gosh. Its a part of LIFE, ladies. ~+~
-
Used to bother me, but now I'd buy a cart full with the store crowded. Live and need them, I guess!lol
-
I don't really care so much anymore. I think everyone in the world pretty much knows that a lady needs these products.
-
I could care less...all I care about is whether they have the type I'm looking for at a good price.
-
To be honest, I do still get embarrassed by that. I know there is nothing to hide. I would prefer the store being almost empty, or if it was crowded, be filled with people I do not know.
-
I'd be as self consciously aware of buying sanitary products with my groceries as I would be the washing powder or the toothpaste.
-
tampons are bad use pads
-
i dont really care. I'll rock the monistat 7 if i had to....who cares. I am a women and i am clean.
-
I'm going to answer the question from a different perspective. I always want the store almost empty, whether I'm shopping for pads, or celery. It has nothing to do with embarrassment.
-
i think crowded, because the person at the counter just wants u to pay and get out of there so that they can move on.
-
I have never thought about it. I just buy them when I need them.
-
I don't really care, people just assume I'm in a relationship or that I know some really cool tricks with tampons, and I really don't mind either way.
-
it doesnt bother me i get mine from the supermarket with the rest of my shopping.
-
I'm confident enough in my manlihood to grab them in front of anyone. It doesn't matter. I'm pretty comfortable holding the pocketbook too.
-
CROWDED! So I can storm in and make a scene screaming and ranting about how I need coffee filters while my friend records it from a safe distance.
-
I don't care either way. I need them, whats the big deal?
-
I prefer the store crowded, because that's more people for everyone else to focus on instead of just me.
-
Is it supposed to matter??? I prefer uncrowded only because the lines move quicker, but if it's busy, oh well!
-
I couldn't care less if someone sees me buying this stuff. Sorry if it bothers others, but I am a woman and needing this is a fact of life.
-
It doesn't really bother me..as long as the cashier isn't a hot guy haha...but yeah, otherwise it doesnt matter to me
-
I am way past using those things now but when I first started, yes I was very shy and embarrassed. I would try to suck other people into going to the store for me. But I got over it quick enough.
-
I haven't had to use that stuff in years. But it didn't make any difference to me. I know guys can be embarrassed about buying them for their partners. Is your question aimed at the male persuasion perhaps. Because ladies who need the things don't care.
-
i dont care at all the only thing i dont like is when I am at work and have to change my tampon and i have to walk through the office with my tampon in my hand like someone is going to stop and talk to me and it would just be weird
-
I have never really cared at all. I'm a female therefor I have periods - I DIDN'T ASK FOR THEM BY ANY MEANS - lol It's no different then going a buying condoms...
-
Who cares. I would get them for my ex along with the milk eggs a doritos and I would throw in some condoms just to get a reaction from the cashier:)
-
I couldn't give a rats ass who is around. All I care about is that I have a good coupon for my Stayfree. Kotex or Always.
-
I buy them no matter who is there or who is with me. It's a normal thing...like buying toilet paper. Now if buying products for incontinence or for rash treatment, those I'd want to buy as discreetly as possible.
-
It doesn't matter to me. I walk around with it in my hands while looking at other stuff.
-
It use to bother me when i was younger but i could care less now if anyone is watching!
-
no problems at all, and I will never understand why other guys have a problem with it besides not knowing which ones to get her. they need 1 set of standardized sized.
-
Well, seeing as I've been using them since I was 11...I've gotten over the supposed embarrassment YEARS ago...
-
its the same whether I'm buying tampons or bread. They are both things I need and neither are embarrassing, and people around me don't care, I mean I've NEVER noticed someone in the sm looking at me funny for buying them
-
It actually doesn't make any difference to me. Most women need these items.
-
neither because there are women there with the same problem i have and if the guys there find it disgusting then i wonder what they will think when they marry their wife.
-
Doesn't matter. When I was younger I always went into a female cashier's line but now I don't care!
-
It doesn't really matter to me. Everyone has to buy them at one time or another.
-
either reli empty, so nobody sees, or reli busy, so nobody can see....i think im paranoid about it cos when i was growing up i lived with my dad, and he always used to say to the cashier "theyre not for me" reli loudly and make everyone look to see what wasnt for him :(
-
It doesn't matter if it's empty or crowded, I'm not embarrassed what so ever by buying this product we (women) all have to do it.
-
I've never brought tampons or sanitary towels being male and all but i am a cashier. Girls you really don't have to worry if you do get embarrassed the cashier has probably served 4 or 5 packs that day and either way your a stranger and its natural. We don't pass judgement i just stick um in a bag with the rest of the shopping. See now condoms... i have some fun with condoms. Our condoms are behind the till with the medicines so i walk over to the medicine cupboard and make them shout what they wanted out. Makes my day more fun :P lol
-
I don't care. It is a natural process, and I figure buying them beats the consequences of not buying them. I don't think of it any different than buying toilet paper.
-
i know i'm a man and all but i bet women that care would prefer the store less full just in case the scanner busted. Nothing could be more humbling than a pizza faced 19 year old getting on the store phone and announcing to the world "PETE I NEED A PRICECHECK ON LADIES SUPER ULTRA JUMBO MAXI DOUBLE-LINED TITANIUM TAMPONS WITH NUCLEAR GRANDE ABSORBA-CORE AND MEGALITHIC OVERFLOW PROTECTION BLADDER"..." AT CHECKOUT 4 PETE"
-
I surprised they don't do it online.. lol.
-
Almost empty lol.. I hate buying those!!
-
I really don't care.
-
meh I dont care...self check outs are awesome if you do care though :)
-
I liek it crowded so everyone can see what a good boyfriend I am
-
Empty so I don't have to wait in the queue at the checkout counter.
-
I just don't care.
-
crowed
-
I'm a guy. I don't care how crowded the store may or may not be. I haven't cared how crowded stores have been ever since my sister HAD to have some tampons/sanitary napkins back shortly after she first started and was too embarrassed to buy them herself and was in tears begging me to do it. I mean, if you need them, what's to be embarrassed about?
-
It doesn't matter to me one way or another. It's an every month occurrence, so I deal with it. I think if I were buying something embarrassing like some kind of ointment for sores, then I'd want the store empty! :-)
-
I like going up to the youngest male cashier I can find - they sometimes blush. Smae goes for condoms and pregnancy tests! I go when I am able to, I don't care who is there!
-
Who cares? I am not the only woman who needs them...
-
When I am purchasing those items I also have a bag of chocolates. When an other woman sees this she smiles...when a man looks I tell them "don't mess with me"...
-
I really could not give a monkey's whatever.
-
i don't care as long as no one gets in my way, if i'm out getting tampons you better look out its not a good day.
-
Doesn't matter to me in the least. It is a fact of life. If someone around me is bothered by them, they can look away.
-
this question made me giggle. I used to care and get all embarrised. but now its just a part of life and I really couldnt care less
-
No. I'm not embarrassed about buying those at all. Its better than the alternative - unless you always wear red pants.
-
It doesn't matter to me. When I need them, I need them! I don't care who looks or snickers. This just shows that I'm still young and not a cranky old lady yet...It's a good indicater of the age range the lady is now.
-
WHO CARES?? The blokes know we have our periods. :)
-
go to a store with less ppl!!! LOL!!!
-
It wouldn't affect me because I'm a male. : )
-
Nah, I don't care. *takes the ones I need and goes to the back of the line*
-
Makes no difference. I use them to soak up oil spills. Better than paper towels and not a mess like quick-dry.
-
Makes no difference to me.
-
I have no inhibitions for buying tampons from a crowded store.
-
It doesn't matter. It's not like we can help it!
-
I have actually walked in and asked for them at the counter for my GF at the time. After they stopped laughing they got what I needed. Who cares what other people think?
-
I dont care, its the last thing I pick up anyway, unless I have a cart. My dad sent me into the closest store alone since I was maybe 6 to buy them for my mum.
-
Either or... I have to admit I still get a little embarassed buying them tho... Oh and condoms... Its just how I am. -_-'
-
DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT POINTS BUT SO PUZZLED OVER THE QUESTIONS THAT GET POINTS, FOR THE MAIN REASON THAT THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT GET THE MOST ANSWERS... AS THIS IS THE POINT OF AB I AM STARTING TO SEE IT AS POINTLESS :)
-
it does not matter alot because we all know it well.
-
It doesn't matter if the shop is crowded, or empty, really.
-
well if i cared i would like it to be crouded because if its empty people can look at whats in your basket :] but i dont acually care that much
-
LOL good question. im not as embarrsed as i use to be. i dont care of women are around i just hate it when men are lol.
-
I don't care one way or the other... It's not like I said "God, I want a period" If it were something like a bad hair style then I would want the store empty - Or I'd just send someone
-
it doesn't matter. although, sometimes i find it humorous when i get a young, male cashier who gets really embarrassed by it.
