  • Yes, electrical burn, took forever to heal.
  • Came close to it, threw some kerosene in the fire, it lit my shirt on fire. It still has the scares after 20 years.
  • It sounds like an oxymoron, but I had minor third degree burns on my fingers(charring the flesh making for 3rd degree). The charring went only just below the fingerprints. This was nothing compared to being knocked to the floor by the electric shock that caused the burns.
  • yep.i brushed my finger tip against a red hot copper pipe and instantly removed the skin down to the bone and bled like a s.o.b.suprisingly it healed rather quickly and i the finger print returned which ididn't think would happen.
  • Yep.. grabbed a pan on a stove and the handle had been directly over top of another burner and was red hot on the bottom.. That was fun! I wanna do that again!

  • i have had a few small burns, but nothing very serious
  • I'm not for sure what degree it was ; BUT had a very bad sunburn and was taken to the E/R ... Doctors gave me shots and IVs .. for about six hours or so .... Since the burns was on neck, back, chest, and stomach , I could not even lay down .. had to sleep in a chair for about three days 'till the PAIN had gone away ...
  • Yup..some real bright guy decided to put a couple cans of beans in a bon fire without telling anyone and lets just say that there was a few of us who got third degree burns. The guy was a total tool he is lucky that noone was blinded or worse.
  • yes, the scar is still here 20 years later
  • No, thankfully. Burns hurt the worst!!
  • Yes, I literaly crashed and burned at a motocross. When they cut my pant leg off at the hospital the brand from the muffler guard cooked off the skin down to the meat. They put guaze strips on it and change them about 4 or 5 times a day for about two weeks. They wait till you finaly go to sleep so they can wake you up. I'm telling you ahead of time, don't do it Dude.
  • Yes on my arm, hurt like hell
  • I had one on my palm. It was small enough all new skin grew back. But it was the most painful thing that's ever happened to me.
  • I had a second degree burn as I accidentally got bumped and touched a hot frying pan.
  • the worst I have ever had was very small mild second degree. my wife claims to have had a 3rd degree but how she describes it sounds second.
  • Yes. I was pretty little and my sister and I were making toasted cheese sandwiches under the broiler. I accidentally touched the pan they were on, reflexively jerked my hand up and the top of my hand got burned by the heating element. My skin and flesh kind of cooked away a bit. I still have a pretty nasty scar.
  • No, I think it was only a 2nd degree but im not sure....I was cleaning a grill and the cleaner spashed on my arm (it turns to pretty much tar as it cools) so it continued to burn....I washed it off but a few minuits later it turned into a water blister.....hoping the scar goes away haha...
  • No..... However my framed 2:1 degree was burnt when my cottage was raised to the ground by fire, happily the university kindly gave me another copy.....
  • When I was five or six we had a hallway that ran past the kitchen. Since we had no hot water at the time my mother boiled it in a kettle to fill the bath. Needless to say, she and I collided, and it went on my face - luckily no permanent damage but very close. Still have slight scarring.
  • Yes, several times. The worst time I was on a new antibiotic called Cipro. At the time they didn’t know that it made you sensitive to the sun. I went to a baseball game with a friend of mine in shorts and I took off my shirt. I got 3 rd degree burns on my chest, and legs.
  • I did, and it wasn't fun.
  • Several times--it'll heal!
  • Yes, I fell in a fire when I was 3, I have burns on my left arm, left side, left leg behind my knee, a stick that was on fire jabbed me, that one is the worst. But they did an excellent job on the skin grafts (they used donated skin, because I was so little) You can hardly tell I was burnt.
  • NEVER!
  • I've burned my hand on the stove, but I don't know if that counts as a third degree..if that's not a third degree then I can't imagine the hurt that comes with the third degree!!! That stove had me hurting for days!!!!
