  • Yes, I believe in it, as in, I believe it exists. And, I don't think it should be illegal & wish there were less people who have a problem with it!
  • Yes , if two people love each other race nor religion should matter
  • I have no issue with it. As long as you find love, it shouldn't matter the color of your skin.
  • Yes. My parent's interracial relationship is the reason I'm here now.
  • Sure, why not?
  • I believe in it. Our family is Irish, English, French, African and Mexican. A veritable Rainbow Coalition.
  • I have absoulutely no reason not to approve of it.
  • Why wouldn't I. I mean, it's not one of those things that you can choose to believe in or not. It just is whether you like it or not. I' okay with it though. I wouldn't try to lynch an interracial couple, no matter what my neighbors would do.
  • Of course I do; it happens all the time.
  • Yes I do Its a beautiful thing to see that there are no barriers in some peoples lives ...
  • Of course I do. I don't think that colour should have any effect on a marriage or whether two people would like to get married.
  • Believe!
  • "Race" is only a social construct, not a scientific idea. I feel so sorry for people who allow it to dominate their thinking about the world. If two people get married, how does it affect anybody else, and why on earth would anyone else be bothered by it?
  • I believe that people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together should get married, and that other people's pathetic prejudices should have absolutely nothing to do with it.
  • yes, of course - if two people love each other why does it have to have anything to do with what race they are :) :)
  • Ya I believe in it. Plus Mixed childs are usually better looking/preety.
  • Sure, why not. Love comes in all colors, shapes ans sizes.
  • I believe in the sanctity of marriage, no matter the participants.
  • Absolutely, if two people are happily in love should nationality ever come into it. No.
  • I not only believe in it... but support it =)
  • my partner is white like me. i don't have a problem with folks of different backgrounds falling in love.
  • Yup. I am Indian married to Chinese girl.
  • If a couple wants it, it's ok with me. However, I've seen enough problems with some such that I'd not do it myself.
  • I believe in 2 people who love each being able to get married period. So, yes I do believe in interracial marriages
  • Yes I do, We are all created equal. What's color or nationality got to do with anything?
  • i support interracial marriage. in reality, we are probably all bi-racial or have more than one ethnic background or heritage, so what would be the point in being against it?
  • yes, if they love each other, they were meant to be.
  • Nope! I don't belive that humans should marry elves. Oh you mean humans that are different shades of brown? Well who the hell cares then! Marry who you want as long as they are of the same species!
  • There's no reason for it not to be fine. I wouldn't be here if not for it. BlackIrishFrenchEnglishGermanApache represent!
  • well the man I plan to marry is black and I'm white so obviously yes, but we do bring race into our fights sometimes, but he is the best thing in the world and we are close enough that we don't hold it against each other, but I can defineatley see where someone would
  • I am proud to say i am a white woman in an interracial relationship with the love of my life. A black man. The world is different now... JOY! I would love to wake up one morning and see the world without racism!!!
  • I beleive in marrying the one you love, whomever that may be.
  • If two people love each other, why not?
  • Are there still people who don't believe in it? I have never thought of it as an issue. In my opinion it shouldn't matter at all what ethnicity partners are, love and care is all that counts.
  • If the people are in love I don't see a problem with it.
  • I'm in an interracial marriage now and couldn't be happier. My close sister prefers for me to stay with my own kind (she's biracial!) but I just happened to fall in love with a man of another race. Just be sure you're in the relationship for the right reasons and not because of the mixing. It devalues the integrity of love between two people.
  • Yes, it exists. Do you mean do I support it? Yes, I support it. Love is not determined by skin color.
  • just like everything else in life, if it doesn't infringe on anybody elses rights or life, then do what makes you happy. life is too short
  • Yes, I do. I have four malotto children and they are a blessing. I have been in interracial relationships since I was in junior high. Been married, divorced and will be again married soon. I guess I am one of those who don't see color I see the person for who they are and not what the color of there skin.
  • i believe in love, after that it doesn't matter who you marry. of course as long as it's not like a sheep or something...........(or a corps)
  • I'm for it.
  • Yes...very much so. So much, that next week (May 12th) I will offically be in one. YAY ME!!! Can I have my wedding gift early?
  • If both peple feel good together, that's really all that matters. SOme cultures might clash, it's important that both parties are willing to compromise.
  • I definetly do. My mom is white and my dad is black, we've never had any problems. Color should never be an issue, but character should.
  • Yes. I suspect that everyone living here in American is in an interracial relationship. I am half cherokee and half black. Aren't you all half or one quarter something? The word "melting pot" gives American living a meaning of it's own! Theo Selig (Dr Seuss) really knew what he was talking about when he wrote the book "The Sneetches".
  • Of course. As I've said before, love is love. It doesn't matter about skin color or gender.
  • As long as people are in love I don't see anything wrong with that.
  • I don't see what's wrong with it, as long as they love each other.
  • sure, don't see any problem with it.
  • Race should not be an issue in any relationship or social matter. This question might even be considered offensive by some people.
  • I must since I'm caucation (not sure of spelling) and my husband is Japanese. We are all the same on the inside.
  • Yes, I believe in them, because I've seen some with my own eyes!
  • I do - they make pretty babies. I was one.
  • If you look back far enough, we all are mixed somewhere. Or all the same, if you believe in creationism, and that we all descend from Adam and Eve.
  • If you mean do i agree with them then yeah sure. I was with a japanese girl once , she was lovely, im english.
  • I believe in love, no matter who the couples are. Race and gender are important only to the extent that they help make up who a person is. In that respect, race, culture, ethnicity are interesting, I think, but none has anything to do with the ability to give or receive love. love. Love comes from the heart. Skin color is like gift wrapping on a present. The good stuff's on the inside. That's what counts.
  • Skin colour and ethnic background have nothing to do with the process of falling in love. Love is an emotion between two people the colour of their skin ethnicity or religion does not enter into emotions or personality. Nor do the opinions of family or friends. If a couple are in love and happy together that is all that matters.
  • Will they exist whether anyone believes them or not? In any case, I have no idea why it's an issue in the first place, if it's even an issue anymore. I mean, I've never seen anyone who dates somebody who isn't human, but who am I to judge? ... Oh. You were talking about people dating others with different ancestral heritage. I thought everyone did that.
  • Yes, I am in one. :-D - [Added:]I have to agree with LadyLuck they have cute babies. Hopefully my significant other and I will have cute kids that turn out like her. - [Added:] Ok so the question has changed lol drastically. yes I believe in them but i am not in one "yet" ;-)
  • No, not really - you see all humans are a one race species, so the idea of "interracial couples" is pure nonsense.
  • i dont believe race or the colour of someones skin should be a barrier to any any relationship. we are all the same in my eyes. if a couple love eachother, that is all that matters.
  • Great thing about love is it comes in all sorts of shapes and colors. My first husband was Native American, (I'm caucasian) Though we no longer see each other, we have a beautiful little boy! I wouldn't trade him for the world.
  • I never really understood why this would be an issue with anyone. It harms no one and promotes love how can that be a bad thing? Do i believe? well yes I do. Do i approve? well yes I do. Is it any of my business? well no and neither is it anyone elses except the couple, and if they do not have a problem then everything should be great.
  • I've had several relationships with non-white women, met an exceptionally special one seven years ago, and married her 5 years ago. So I guess you could say I 'believe' in interracial relationships. More correctly, I believe in relationships, period. Culture, race, and ethnicity can be an insurmountably large or reasonably small barrier depending upon the two people in question. Embracing and valuing each other's differences is the secret of a happy union, regardless of what those differences are.
  • Yep! I believe that people should be able to be with whoever they want and that people should mind their own business! That's what's wrong with this world is everyone is always too worried about what everyone else is doing!
  • Of course. When people find true love, what idiot even thinks about race? I say it's sooo hard to find that special someone, that when you do, don't ever let let it go. Cause you may never have another chance. And where ever you believe we all go after we're gone...the other side...heaven....Do you really think there are seperate races? Your soul has no race.
  • Love has nothing to do with the color of skin, the height of your frame, the size of your bust, the length of anatomy or whether you can walk, see or hear. It is a connection of mind, body and soul. A friendship that has the ability to make each other better people. If it is done right it makes each individual a better person for numerous reasons. If it is true, it will take whatever comes it's way and be better for it's presence. In order to be capable of giving as well as recieving respect(in many aspects) must be a priority. When interracial relationships occur and prevail it must have respect for each others culture, family and identity of self and how they view the world they live in.... Give, recieve, learn and listen but most of all love. None of the above has anything to do with the color but everything to do with heart and soul.
  • what not to believe in???
  • I believe that people should marry the one they love if they choose to do so, no matter how anyone else feels about it.
  • Yes they exist I have seen them, I have even attended a few interracial weddings. I think we should all mix up the DNA it's really our only hope for quiescence.
  • Yes, why not. My sister's in a interracial marriage and has 3 mixed kids.
  • Absolutely. What's to "believe" about it? It happens. It's a reality. So, yes, unlike how I feel about the tooth fairy, I do believe in interracial marriage. It's a good thing. Racism is awful and interracial marriage is a sign, to me, that it's a non-issue for some people. That's a beautiful thing.
  • Definately, I'm in one!
  • yes, do you believe in air?
  • yes i do, but how do you go about it when your parents are too conservative to understand? I am seeing a Caucasian man (i am south asian) and my parents dont know about it. If they did they would disown me. Any similar stories out there? Any advice? I dont want to have to choose between them! I want to have a "normal" family.
  • Unlike Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, yes I do believe in interacial marriage.
  • Yes, I do, they are ok with me.
  • Absolutely! I want to have a day before I die when I don't hear discussion about affirmative action and things that I feel divide races rather than put everyone on one level. I understand why you needed thing like that, but I think the time since the 1960s, there is not the need for laws like those. The more everyone marries in regard to who that person is rather than the color of their skin, we will be one nation.
  • Sure. I believe that marriage is about being with someone who makes you happy, not about the color of their skin.
  • Yes... I believe in love and marriage period... the color of one's skin does not make them better for you! White men are mean and so are other race men... You find the one who treats you the best and what else should matter.... Why shrink the pool of fish due to their skin color???
  • I suspect there is no such thing as "interracial" marriage. Race is an artificial description that has beenused as an excuse to discriminate. We are, after all, mammals. Only mammals of a like species can procreate. My criteria for restricting marriages would be based on the ability to procreate. Having said that, I have no problems with GLBT unions, regardless of what they might be called (marriage, partnerships, civil unions, etc.).
  • I see them no differently than any marriage
  • My belief has nothing to do with it - it's between the two people who decide to get married.
  • I believe in any marriage that anyone wants
  • Believe? Is in it does or doesn't exist? It certainlu exists so there is nothing to believe or disbelieve about it. I don't have a problem with it either.
  • There is no such thing as "interracial" marriage, because there are no races within the human population. We have the same DNA and are quite capable of interbreeding (to give it is lowest term). If that is so, then we are also capable of being attracted to each other. I am born in England of a New Zealand father and an Anglo-Australian mum, and am married to an Australian born man of Italian father and German mother. I had to point out to my mum once, when she was giving a tirade about not marrying outside ones "kind", that, in former South African society, my husband and I would not have been allowed to marry, and our children would have been called mixed. Is that what she wanted for her grandchildren? (Of course, I also had to remind her that her own husband's grandmother had an unknown, but black, father, though she was born in the north of England: that would have meant dad and her would not have been able to marry either. She got the message). Now my little sister has married a Cook Islander born in New Zealand. We have had plenty of laughs over our mixed family, with the funniest comment coming from my brother in law: "My ancestors might have eaten yours!" The saddest thing though is that my brother was heard to say, at my sister's engagement "Why can't my sisters marry their own kind?" (Yet our marriages have lasted longer than his).
  • Don't HAVE to believe. It's an established fact.
  • I have actually seen it! It is real, I have proof it exists.
  • I believe in the institution of marriage, as it was designed to bring two individuals together as one entity and to designed to celebrate the love that comes from bringing them together. Individual race, sex, nationality, height, weight... none of this matters because they have nothing to do with why people fall in love and want to get married anyways.
  • I'm Irish, married to a 2nd generation indian saint lucian, that answer your question.
  • i heard about a man in sudan who married a goat. so i guess inter racial marriages do happen.
  • If 2 people truky love each other, then they do. Why set boundries on something great that can be a rare thing to find at times?
  • absolutely. i am involved in one. there is nothing wrong with it.
  • Do I "believe" in it? Yes, I have definitely seen two people of different race married to each other. It's not a myth, people actually do that.
  • Heck yes! But I am from the midwest....seems to be more acceptable here than the south from what Ive seen. ~Colleen peepmywedding.com/Colleen
  • I believe in anything that is love-inspired. I don't believe that Michael Strahan's wife married him for love, so in their case, no. Some non-interracial-marriages are based on the wrong ideas, also though. I believe more in marrying for love than I care about the racial backgrounds of the 2 people getting married.
  • I figure anyone in love who wants to spend the rest of there life with someone else they should be able to. No reason they shouldn't be aloud to be happy.
  • Love is love, race shouldn't play a role in my opinion. Love is a good thing and if 2 people want to commit themselves to each other. Let them.
  • Yes.. otherwise i wouldnt be here... whats worng with it? if two people love one another..
