For me its warm cold always seems to hurt more

It all depends if you have a cold or the flu. If im running a temp I want something cold to drink. If I have a cold and Im all achy, I want something warm. so your all sort of correct.

When i have a sore throat i always have to have ice cold drinks and warm food

For me, that would depend on why my throat was sore. If it were caused by a virus, I'd probably want something warm to hot; however, if it were caused from something else (e.g., yelling at a sporting event), then I'd want something cool to cold.

Cold drinks. Usually something hot to eat, like soup.

Warm drink. Cold ones would make things worse.., for I already have tonsillitis.

i have some weird form of intuition in that i somehow know to have cold stuff or warm stuff. (sometimes i switch it up as well)

Warm tea ;0)

It depends on the sore throat. Back when I perpetually got tonsillitis, I always wanted something cold; but when I get strep, warm is much better. I haven't figured out the others yet, but I never want both warm and cold for the same sore throat. I'm not sure why different temperatures soothe different causes, though.

When I have a sore throat, I usually take an aspirin and drink something cold. Cold just makes it feel better. Of course, I do not have very many hot drinks, period.

I like could. I only recently found out that my grandmother's "medicine" for a sore throat was gin in orange juice. We were little kids and grandma's giving us screwdrivers. Drink up, it's good for you. I never liked gin because I thought it tasted like medicine. I guess it is.

If I have nasal congestion and a headache along with the sore throat, I'll have hot tea with lemon and honey.
