  • No. Tell Ghandi hello when you see him in Christianity's hell.
  • I can't see why not. I don't belong to a church, but I also have never killed anyone, I raise my son right, I obey the law, pay my taxes, etc. When I die, I can't see how I wouldn't be allowed in.
  • I never heard anyone say church is your ticket to heaven
  • You can only worry about "going to heaven" if you actually believe in heaven. So, it matters not a fig.
  • No because if they don't go to church then that means they don't believe in heaven and therefore it doesn't exist.
  • I believe a temple is not necessary to worship God. This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. ~HH the Dalai Lama
  • if you believe and do things sincerly not just to be honnored in mens eye and really care yes but if i was you i would find something that you can earn cedit from like a religious foundation ok just be safe do not want a good person to suffer forever.
  • You do not need to belong to a church, but you do need to accept the law as given to Moses and live with compassion for others.
  • no because theres no such thing as heavan. and it doesnt honestly matter what you do or belive. so go ahead and worship god from a cemetary during a satanic ritual.
  • Why dont you quit trying to find an easy way too heaven.Jesus said narrow is the way and straight is the gate, and few find it.If you are truly a chid of the King, then you will want the things of God and find you a good bible believing church.
  • Nice question bt stupid at the same time! lol There are 52 religions in this world, one is Christianity and others 51 donot believe in church! And every religion has its own thoughts!
  • You NEED to accept Christ as your personal saviour (and repent from your sins of course!)THEN and ONLY THEN you will be allowed in heaven. and you need not belong to any church!!!
  • No one comes to heaven through “Church” (building especially not a denomination). Jesus Christ has died on behalf of all those that will “believe” that He is the way to God the Father. This is the content of the New Testament God has instituted in order to make “salvation” possible. The New Covnant that God setup is in Hebrews 8:10. 1. Hebrews 8:10 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Hebrews 8:9-11 (in Context) Hebrews 8 (Whole Chapter) Key words here are that the God will put His command in our hearts. So pay attention what your heart is telling you. Instinctively it will lead you in the way God would want to you to go, until your eyes are open and you clearly start the relationship with your saviour – Jesus Christ. God (the Father) will always lead you to Hi, as He is our propitiation and or portion as far as Salvations concerned. So, back to your question, can one enter heaven without going to Church? Did I mention “Church”?. Many people will “follow” instinctively their hearts and “conscience”, which should (if the scripture is true), reflect what is written in it. HOWEVER, we are to use to use our “will” to make the judgements on any occasion we see fit, hence the joy of when we are “synchronised” with His will, and “conviction” when we are crossing the boundary and consequent guilt. Prolonged disobedience to the Holy Spirit will lead in “spiritual” death where any conscienceless of God is lost do to a constant disobedience to His ways. So yes, if one can live their lives in way that their heart does not condemn them, would in my opinion be proof of life fully synchronised with God. However, it is for lack of this, that we seek companion ship of other believers entering in closer relationship with God and each other, becoming a body of believers or “Church” which Bible calls Christians. Hope this helps. in Christ..

  • as long as you are saved which you truely know in your heart you are... believe in jesus then there is no harm you can do to keep you from going
  • My belief is that there is no heaven so don't worry about it. The fact is, however, that the existence of God, heaven or an afterlife is unproven and unprovable.
  • God knows.
  • Of course ... just be the BEST you that YOU can possibly be ... remember the Golden Rule and Karma ; 'n you will be just fine ..
  • Only 144,000 have a heavenly future... Rev. 7;4 and 14;1 Even though the scripture says they are taken from the 12 tribes of Israel, they are not all Jews. (Acts 10:35) but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him. So God considers the whole world, Israel. All other OBEDIENT ones have a future on the earth... Except the wicked. (Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. (Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. (Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].
  • Tell me what church isn't man made? Check the messinger
  • Of course. And many of the people who belong to a Church will go to Hell.
  • of course...just have to belong to God ,as Abraham and Moses did...and Obey as Abraham and Moses did....and be willingly to walk away from earthly family and earthly riches as Abraham and Moses did...like Jesus told the rich man who kept the Commandments and believed ....do his riches right as Abraham and Moses.give and be willingly to give up....he could go to Paradise.....he obviously did not share his wealth ...helping others and in turn storing up in God's eyes his riches in heaven, thats where he got them in the first place..God in heaven...so even rich can go to heaven..as Moses and Abraham and Job were, they just have to be willinging to share and leave the riches of earth... As with all , God demands Obediance of HIS ,first and foremost....rich or poor....belonging to a denomination or people's will not get even one soul to heaven...ONLY the HEART of any SOUL will get him to HEAVEN...our own PERSONAL SOUL can we SAVE and no other, but we are responsible for the REARING up of our chidren...but once grown or at age of understanding, they become responsible for their own soul...and on down the line...in a ROUND way of looking...if u are doing God's Will u won't go to Heaven alone..u bring others to HIM...nobody gets there alone if they've done right by God....... heaven is our "heart condition",checked on by ourself ,DAILY..:)justme
  • Yes, as long as you know the Lord and have accepted him as your Savior. I've given this subject a lot of thought through the years......I've come to the conclusion that there are: People who attend church, but don't live a Christian lifestyle People who attend church, and do live a Christian lifestyle People who don't attend church, but live a Christian lifestyle People who don't attend church, and do not live a Christian lifestyle Of course, the appropriate words can be changed for different religions.
  • The bible says the way to heaven is through Jesus not a church.
  • You do not have to belong to any church or even attend any church to go to heaven...the only requirement to enter heaven is to accept Jesus as your personal saviour...it is a free gift! The only other way you can enter heaven is to follow the Mosaic Law to the absolute, which is impossible to do. So being the best he/she knows how will not get you into heaven...This is one of the reasons why God sent Jesus to earth so we would have an advicate. All you need to do to receive this free gift is to say,"Please God forgive me of my sin and I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour." It is that simple. You of course need to believe this with all your heart and live your life according to Matthew 22:37-40. These are the only two commandments you must live up to as a Christian.
  • Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." Repentence for sin and faith that Jesus died for them is the only way.
  • Probably yes. because I believe people go to a middle world between heaven and hell. They go into a test, and they choose where they go. So maybe, yes
  • Yes, they would most likely either make it to the Terrestrial kingdom or one of three degrees of the Celestial kingdom. Most likely it would be the lowest degree or the middle degree of the Celestial kingdom.
  • Jesus said: "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -- John 14:6 (New International Version) Therefore Jesus Christ Himself stated that the ONLY way to "come to the Father" (that is 'go to heaven') is through Him. So no, Church membership isn't a requirement. And no, "living the best he/she knows how" isn't enough either becuase, as Paul stated if you've sinned (even once) you've only earned death: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -- Romans 6:23 But God offers us the GIFT of enternal life in Christ Jesus. And what do you have to do to receive a gift? A: Accept it when it's offered. So, ultimately, good people don't get to go to heaven - there ARE no good people in heaven! There are only sinners who have accepted God's gift, Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, who enjoy eternal life with the Father. • Seems like a bunch of hoopla to me....He is the way to God and only him????? He sounds like a nut job rambling on that people happened to litsen to back in the day....you wouldn't believe it if some homless guy said it on a street corner, why believe it just because it was said thousands of years ago?
  • I think a church is mostly for the fellowship with other believers but not required for heaven.
  • Maybe, it depends. Belonging to a church could have nothing to do with it. First one has to consider if they have heard the Gospel, for there is no way to Heaven besides through Christ. So, if one has heard of Christ then Christ is the only way to Heaven. The second instance is described in Romans 2: "All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares." (2:12-16 NIV) This means that everyone who hasn't heard the Gospel will be judged "by the law written on their hearts." This law could the that person's conscience or cultural morality, God will judge them by what they have done with what was given. So, yes and no.
  • That seems to be the catch phrase for all religions, Started hearing the same thing over and over (10 years old) kid your going to hell. Got tired of hearing all this nonsense from so called messengers of God. God said I am way, the light and the truth I don't need to go thru any middle man to get to God. God said beware of false Prophets who come in my name. Now guess who he was referring to. You don't need to go to some bogus church to reach God. He said follow me not some screwed up messenger, if you can't see the truth that's your problem.
  • belonging to a building or assembly has NOT ONE THIng TO DO WITH SALVATION!!! Jesus BODY is the CHURCH...join HIM and u JOIN HIS CHURCH....Salvation is of each person....only HE can add u to HIM and only HE can take u from HIM.....buildings and organizations have not a thing to do with saving ur soul....ur heart does....humility, honesty, charity, doing unto others, forgiving, etc....all the things HE showed us to do...u can worship, sing praises, give thanks, pray...anywhere, anytime, any way u want to..thats all that matters to God....Jeremiah stressed the importance of a "personal relationship" with God...once HE had left the Israelites....:)
  • Hbr 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Getting together with other believers is to benefit and strengthen both you and the group. It has nothing to do with heaven except the possibility of losing faith through being alone.
  • NO, church member ship or being a good person has nothing to do with going to heaven. You can never be good enough. Jesus is the only way to heaven. You must repent of your sins and give you life to God through Jesus' sacrifice. Even Mother Teresa wasn't good enough to make it to Heaven if she was never born again.
  • No one is going to heaven.
  • I don't see why not. Action matters more than belief. If somebody claimed to be a sincere Christian, but they refused to give a thirsty person a glass of water, then their beliefs are pointless.
  • Of course not. When you die, no matter how you lived, that is the end.
  • Neither your good works nor your church membership will get you into heaven. You must be broken hearted over your sin. With a contrite heart, ask Jesus to cleanse you and create a new heart in you. That's why the poor in spirit are blessed, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • The temple is our bodies, and a church is the people. A church can be 3 people worshipping inside of a house, just speaking and learning about God. They dont need to belong to a church (building)...or go to a cathedral. But they do need to understand God, and realize what he does for them, how human kind works, the way they were designed...and the will of God. I do believe there is a certain criteria that needs to be followed, ONLY becuase it is what was ment for that person to do. To fullfill their purpose. IF they deny that purpose by denying God but yet lives a good life...it was all in vain. Anybody can be a good person, but it is for that person, and that person only. To be a good person, and give all the Glory to God...shows people what a christian truely is. It helps other people realize what they need to do in life also to achieve their full purpose also. And If a person is a good person, then why wouldnt they at least look at the details of a life with God? What would really be changed in their life besides going from, no God...to a God. Not much, except praise, giving the glory, and a step down on the pride pole. Why would a person want to go to heaven, and why should The almighty God allow a person in heaven, when that person did everything they could to deny him? In life, a man once said, "God I do not know you"....so when that man died, and he came into Gods presence...God also said, "I do not know you" So why should they be accepted? Hell is an eternal seperation from God, something a "good person" yet denies their God always strived for, living a life with no God. So God grants them their wishes.
  • The only requirement to get into the state of being some call "heaven" is physical death.
  • No because there is no heaven and there ain't no hell
  • When I ask this question I knew it could be answered in a number of ways. And as I look over the numerous answers I find it was answered in a number of ways. So now let me give you a "Mormon" answer, which is somewhat different than all the other answers given. First of all let me say a Church is not necessarily a building. In this case a Church is an organization of people, who happen to meet every week in a building we call a Chapel. Now can a person go to heaven if they do not belong to a religious organization? There are a couple of answers to this question. 1. Christians and Catholics believe in 1 Heaven and 1 Hell and many of their answers were expressed here already. In Mormonism, there are 3 heavens and 2 Hells. One of which is only temporary where the unjust spirits dwell, until the Judgment. But when we go to a heaven, (any of the 3)as named in the scriptures, it will be forever. And for those who go to Hell, to be with Satan, or "Outer Darkness", it also will be forever. Now will a person have to belong to a Church organization to go to heaven? Only if they want to go where God the Father dwells, or Celestial Kingdom as the Scriptures explain. No Church affiliation is necessary for the other 2 heavens or degrees of Glory. Apparently Jesus did not know belonging to a Church Organization was not necessary to get to heaven. He specifically told Nicodemus that "Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Then later by way of explanation he stated "Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. I guess someone forgot to tell him one did not need to enter the kingdom of God to get where he is. But the fact is not only does a person need to be baptized into the Lord's Organization to get to heaven but they must also receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, by those authorized by God to administer both ordinances. You see, the purpose of Baptism is for the remission of sins. Baptism is symbolic, showing that your sins will be washed away, provided you have previously repented of them. And the Holy Ghost, through the Baptism of fire, actually removes your sins by virtue of the Atonement. Those who think they will get to heaven to live with God because they have prayed a certain prayer and accepted Jesus as their savior, will be sadly mistaken. This doctrine is only taught in the many Christian Churches but cannot be found in the Bible. Sorry for the long post...whew4
  • I think there are sort of "layers" in heaven. After all, what sort of kind, merciful God would put an exalted being like Elijah with someone who just barely missed hell? And likewise, what sort of kind, merciful god woul put a petty thief and pick-pocket in the same place as Hitler and other mass-murderers? I think those good people will make it to the second or third highest step in heaven. No gracious father like our own in heaven would send a good person to hell, especially if they lived the best way the knew how.
  • Just as sure as Santa will show up next Xmas! ;-)
  • Whose heaven? There are a lot of them - all run by different gods.
  • Sorry but making an appearance at church will not get you to heaven. Much more is required.
  • Nope because there is no such thing as heaven
  • I believe that God will judge people by the intents of their heart and not by what church they go to. If yoiu're basically a good person and respect others I think God will look at that alot more than how many times you attended worship service
  • If you are living the best way you know how, you can't do more. The best is all we have. One thing is for certain though, you will go somewhere after you die, coz your soul is just energy and you can never kill that. Don't fret over heaven and hell, it's a control that has been put over you, and everyone else for many years. Just live your life the best that you can, in this f*&#ed up world.
  • What a good question!! But would you “really” want an answer form a man on this? And then would you believe it? Only thing you will be judged for is what you “know” about God and what you do or did with that knowledge. God has or will presents himself to every human Soul, and Soul recognises Him, but often our pride, intellect and mostly our selfishness denies the “call” and writes it off as a nonsense, rendering our spirit “numb” to the nudging and prompting of the Holy Sprit. Too much of that, just out of guilt we will follow any teaching that lessens our guilt and fear. I suggest you seek your heart for the answer, pray and seek God. He does show up, trust me, your heart will know Him. In Christ..
  • Yep they can. 1. Accept Christ as your personal Savior. 2. Follow Gods commandments as best as you can. 3. Constantly believe and have faith. Just think of this. The Mustard seed is one of the smallest, but what a large tree it becomes after years. If we had the faith of the size of that seed, the wonders we could achieve! Of course, you'd get the lazy believers who'd be chucking mountains into the ocean cause they didn't want to climb or go around..:)
