Hell no i could not!
-
Technically I could eat on £0.00 a day and just raid bins people do that anyway.
-
anyone could, big bag of oats and bag of rice, plus a piece of fruit
-
Yep breakfast: a donut and coffee to go please! no lunch Dinner: is Hot Water and Catchup makes a great tomato soup. One glass of water to drink!
-
Yes, easily but it would not be my favorite foods. There would be lot's of beans, rice, peanut butter, and other cheaper foods. Very little meat since it is so expensive these days.
-
Yes I could.
-
People eat on no money a day..I'm sure I would be hungry but I find something
-
It would be tight but I think I could manage. After all, beans, rice and pasta are all pretty cheap and I know how to shop around for the best price. Yeah, I think it can be done.
-
Yep, well until the food in my house ran out =P
-
Absolutely! Since I gotten into my condition, I usually eat one meal a day, and $2 would cover that easily.
-
Yes, you can. You might get a little tired of it after a while but it can be done. B. Instant oatmeal/coffee L. Can of tuna crackers and water Koolaid S Can of turnip greens or Green Beans and a piece of corn bread. Snack Jello. Also if you are not too concerned about Carbs, those Romaine Noodles can work pretty well too.
-
You could, for many shops, especially produce stores sell slightly damaged fruits and vegetables at a dollar a bag.You could eat at MacHearattacks but you will not last long eating that junk.
-
Well I could, I wouldn't be able to eat exactly what I wanted though. Take away Pizza costs a bit more
-
when i was 15 working at a gorcery store, i used to spend 90 cents on my lunch. two 30 cent grab bags of potato chips and one thirty cent can of generic brand soda.
-
Unfortunately, no. I know how to, but I'm allergic to beans and I can't eat them. It is pretty hard to eat that cheaply without beans.
-
Yes, if you average it out...it can be done: A box of pasta (8 servings) can be purchased for $1 As can spaghetti sauce Bananas are cheap (about $0.57/pound) A loaf of store brand bread is often $1 or less Tuna is usually less than $1 a can (2.5 servings) Cans of soup (2.5 servings) can be found for $1 There are dollar menu items at all fast food places Bags of frozen veggies are often $1 I even bought ice cream on sale for $1 a quart this week
-
Probably, but I wouldn't want to.
-
Can and did back in college. (3-4 years ago) I made tuna noodle casserole very cheaply. $0.33 for generic mac&cheese $0.50 for cream of celery soup $0.39 (I think) for tuna About a cup of milk and 1/2 cup cheapo margarine - together about $0.25 $1.47 and it made about 3 meals! I would usually add some frozen vegetables to make it more healthy but that's just another $0.25 or so.
-
Yes but I have to use it wisely.
-
Me? No. I like to eat large portions of fancy stuff:)
-
Eggs and rice are pretty cheap too. Agree that it would get pretty boring after a while. Also, you could go to the soup kitchen for one meal a day. Grocerie stores often set out samples too. If you got 1 sample from each display that might pass for a meal.
-
Hell to the no.
-
if my life depended on it sure- normally no way Jose.
-
si! and it would be hella fun....the challenge that is first of finding shit cheap then of getting creative and mixing it up each day
-
If I ate ramen noodles, I could even have some for the next day!!! : O )
-
Why would I want to put food on a 2 dollar bill? I can't even find those bills anymore.
-
Two bucks a DAY? Are you kidding? When I was going through my separation and divorce from my first wife, and the tens of thousands of dollars I was in debt because of her, I proved that it is entirely possible to survive on 20 to 30 dollars a MONTH. Yeah, I could survive on 2 dollars a day for food, thank you very much!
-
Yes. I might try that for a week or more to prove it :-)
-
I think I could, my local grocery store is pretty cheap. Sometimes they have little sales of 2 bagels for $.33 and other things like that. Also, I am a vegetarian, and vegetables aren't as expensive as meat.
-
If the $2 includes my 2 50cent coffees a day, then that brings me down to a dollar, so that's a no.
