ITV is very regional, so the fact you're in Scotland means they'll show Gaelic shows. As for the time, I assume they're meant to be recorded, as they're not popular enough to get decent time slots

If you're a Gaelic speaker AND deaf, you are sorted! Most shows with sign language for the deaf are on about three in the morning too.

It's probably one of those things that some people want to watch, but the majority does not so they put it on late. Same with Boring nightwatch (Drunkards, burgalry, speeder, oh look more drunkards) and those crap channel 5 movies. And those obscure 1950s movies that nobody has ever heard about, usually on BBC2.

Hmmmm. Not Gaelic, so I do not know. Maybe people prefer speaking Gaelic really late at night. :)
