If you are using your drivers' license to write a check, You are out of luck. Companies are allowed to set their own rules for accepting checks in the state of Texas as long as they do not discriminate by age, race, gender, etc. If they have rules posted stating that you must have a valid Texas license to write a check, then you must have a valid Texas license to write a check. Take cash. They have to accept cash.
