  • Have done this with VHS tapes to DVD. You need a DVD recorder and a tape player, plus their cords. Hook the VCR / tape player output to the DVD input jacks. Install new writable DVD. Start tape, start recording DVD. You can also purchase some units which have both a tape (VHS) player and writable DVD unit all-in-one which allow copying the tapes to DVD.
