Depends. I like the idea of a far more accessible test for something so serious, but there are a few problems. 1. People might be more reluctant to ask their friendly pharmacist for it. Also, grocery stores are not exactly privacy booths, and HIV is NOT something people like to broadcast. People are ashamed to buy condoms. HIV tests seem way worse. 2. Doctors still seem more reliable. If you can get a false positive from a pregnancy test, I imagine HIV tests would have similar fallacies. Of course, these aren't reasons NOT to, just why it might not be a wildly popular industry.

People can't even read a pregnancy test. I dont think we need to deal with the next level of panic from those who can't read an HIV test.
