  • Sure, why not try it out? What do you have to lose? Perhaps the HS environment was not conducive to your learning, and the CC environment will be.
  • What is your GPA? If it is atleast 2.0 there is a good chance you could get into a good college...and of course community college would NOT be a waste of time.
  • An education is never a waste of time. You can attend a community college and get an Associate's Degree in a number of things that will prepare you very well for life and give you a good paying job. Later on, you can enroll in a state college and get a Bachelor and do even better
  • Community college is NOT a waste of time, and most offer Associate's Degrees that are meaningful on resumes. Often the credits will transfer to a regular college, too, but be sure you ask about that sort of thing when you register. In this economy, any higher education gives you an edge. Of course, continuing to learn, in and of itself, is always a great thing on a personal level too.
  • Yes; college is great. It really helps you focus on what you want to do with your life.
  • YOu should definitely go to a community college or trade school if you want to better yourself and learn a skill. Also, don't count out the military....my nephew was just like you and he's done REALLY well in the military and he's making really good money now. One other thing to consider is that after community college, you might just want to go on to a 4-year college. My brother did that and he's now a teacher! He didn't do well in H.S, went to Jr. college and after several years building houses in the heat of summer and the bitter cold of winter, decided he wasn't going to do that the rest of his life. He enrolled in a private college and graduated on the Dean's List! GO FOR IT!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! :)
  • sitting around and doing nothing at all is a waste of time
  • Go to community college and get your grades up for a transfer OR go to a trade school.
  • You need job skills. Go on to a community college or a trade school. You may find that you get interested in school and go real well. My step son repeated the 4th grade. He now has Masters Degree. Interests and motivation can change.
  • Education is never a waste of time. Unless it's in a field where there are no jobs. Don't study shit like "Interpretive Lesbian Dance" or "Concepts of Race Relations and Social Justice."
  • If you think it a waste of time, likely it would be. I would suggest maybe a year (at most) to cipher on what type of commitment you want to make and keep.
  • thats a good way to get your grades up, i would go
