  • I'm sorry to hear that tom. :(
  • you have foot fungus or athletes foot
  • Have you been walking more than usual or do you have new shoes that maybe cramp your toes? If you might want a tip, buy a small jar of Vicks Vaporub and coat the little toe and the one next to it. Put a soft gauze pad between the toes and tape in place with wide tape wrapped over the ends of those two toes. Do not wrap tape around or between either toe. Add more Vicks Vaporub as needed, keep it covered and I'm sorry to say that you can't wear regular shoes for a few days, must be something very loose over the toes like bedroom slippers or sandals. • Sounds like a Corn. The hard center is cone shaped and yellowish, so the name was easy! Corns (and callus) are caused by one thing - TOO MUCH PRESSURE, usually in combination with some friction. There is no other way to get them - the pressure stimulates the skin to thicken to protect itself, but as the stimulation of the pressure continues, it becomes painful. Too much pressure can be from causes such as: -footwear that is too tight -toe deformities -bony prominence -biomechanical or gait abnormalities As there are a whole range of problems that can result in a corn or callus, it is often good to consider that they are not really a condition at all, but are a symptom of an underlying condition. http://www.epodiatry.com/corns-callus.htm
  • go to the doctors and get it checked out
