Cool! It's always nice to see people having an "out-of-the-box" thinking.
-
Pretty smart if you ask me, I would have never thought of something like that.

Pretty cool!!!

This didn't just happen on the spur of the moment. You need the hardware to convert 12 VDC to 120 VAC. You can only power a few light bulbs. And you need enough gas in the car to run the motor from time to time to recharge the battery. You don't want to ever run the battery down to the point you can't kick over the motor to recharge it. And the guy that powered his house for three days here had the foresight to also own a Prius. http://www.greendaily.com/2008/12/23/prius-owner-powers-house-using-hybrid-during-ice-storm/

That's awesome! I wish I had one during that damn ice storm

I think it's great, another reason to look into a Prius, I guess.

It's great to see people using ingenuity.

I love him.

He has too much time on his hands?
-
Wow, that's interesting, I did not know you could do that.

I think it's a smart move to avoid the cost of a generator, and great forethought to own a vehicle that will automatically start itself when the battery needs charging!
-
Very interesting....

Smart guy. I wonder what else he can do.

Was his name McGyver?
-
Extremely creative and brilliant foreplanning.

I did that for 2 days this past ice storm. Wish I had the inverter the other two days too. Smart guy.
