  • If I understand your half question, people don't have anything against the Catholic Church that it hasn't brought upon itself. If any entity chooses to be as violent and bloody as that one, they also have to be ready to take what comes with the territory

The Catholis Hierarchy is known in Revelations as the Whore of Babylon, and it's destruction is foretold.
  • How old is your Church? You must stand forth as bearers of the light, carriers of the truth. You have been given by your baptism entrance into the only true religion upon earth, the Roman Catholic Church under My Son, Jesus. Though man in his arrogance and pride has forgotten His role and His rule, you must carry it forward. Retain the Faith and the truth in the hearts of mankind." - Our Lady of the Roses, September 7, 1978 If you are a Lutheran, your religion was founded by Martin Luther, an ex-monk of the Catholic Church, in the year 1517. If you belong to the Church of England, your religion was founded by King Henry VIII in the year 1534 because the Pope would not grant him a divorce with the right to remarry. If you are a Presbyterian, your religion was founded by John Knox in Scotland in the year 1560. If you are a Protestant Episcopalian, your religion was an offshoot of the Church of England founded by Samuel Seabury in the American colonies in the 17th century. If you are a Congregationalist, your religion was originated by Robert Brown in Holland in 1582. If you are a Methodist, your religion was launched by John and Charles Wesley in England in 1744. If you are a Baptist, you owe the tenets of your religion to John Smyth, who launched it in Amsterdam in 1605. "There are many deceptions taking place among you, and one being the falsification of the manner of the salvation of souls. When I was upon earth, I established the rules and I gave you My Church, My House. However, now I watch as many have gone forward with itching ears and novelty, and they are setting upon the world a new religion." - Jesus, May 20, 1978

Apostasy was already at work even in the first century. They have not obeyed the teachings of Christ.
  • well,i don't no but i'm not against it...
  • Pretty much because the Catholic Church invites it. Attempting to force religion into secular life, constantly criticizing anyone who doesn't follow it's doctrine, and forgetting that this is a democracy, not a theocracy....
  • how do you against? and im just fine with the catholic church. we all believe in the same mighty God, right? i just don't agree on their methods.
  • Certainly, everyone in the world will not go by the same rules. This means that every individual are different, and thus people will have beliefs and views that really clashes with another individual. That is the reason why SOME people see the Catholic Church is immoral. Essentially, everyone in the world will not worship 'Catholic,' and if the world was like this, then the world will be all 'catholic' people. In sum, at least one person will attract to their life and will have a certain detestment or hatred towards the beliefs of catholic people.
  • 1) I assume you mean: "Why are some people against the [Roman] Catholic Church?" (because not all are) 2) Some people are against it because they perceive the Catholic Church as being against them in a way. This could also be true. For instance, the Catholic Church has a long history of bloody missionaries, Crusades and Inquisition. Today, the Catholic Church also condemn things that look for many people sensible, such as the use of contraception. Because of the great influence of the Catholic Church in the world, it has also many enemies. They just don't accept its influence, and they find it wrong in some way. 3) Some people are against the Catholic Church because they are members of other religions, which are against the Catholic Church for various reasons. The same religion could be tolerant in a particular place or context and intolerant elsewhere. For instance, the other Christian religions appeared because the Reformers criticized some particular things done by the Catholic Church at that time. Some could also be against religion in general, like militant Atheists. 4) Many people are against the Catholic Church because they disapprove of the acts of some particular Catholics, from the Pope to pedophile priests. Many are also against it because of the bad image that the Catholic Church has in some media. 5) "Ever since the Reformation, Protestant thinking and attitude towards the Catholic Church has been poisoned by the belief that the Pope/Papacy is the Anti-Christ and the Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon. This belief was virtually written into the creeds of the various Protestant Churches to justify their break from the Church, and has been passed down over the past 400 years in their various traditions to the present day. This belief not only explains the general hatred towards the Catholic Church, but it has resulted in a vicious propaganda campaign against Catholicism, a campaign that cares little for truth or reasoned discussion. Whatever their differences (and they are many and serious) far too many Protestants unite in opposition against the Anti-Christ and the Whore and relish and enjoy portraying the Church's teachings in a distorted and caricaturized manner. This surely rates as one of the longest, most sustained propaganda campaigns in History. Some Protestants have criticized my site as misleading, claiming that not all Protestants believe the Pope is the Anti-Christ or the Catholic Church the Whore. I agree. But the historical belief beginning with the Reformation is absolutely true, as my creeds page will show. The only real question is the extent to which some Protestants have (relatively recently) retracted the historic claims." Some local legislators and academics will assist them to end the dictatorship of the Catholic Church which interferes with the school activities. Parliamentarian Mano Ganeshan will lead the demo against the church and he plans to address the Pope at the Vatican and raise the question in the Sri Lankan Parliament in this regard." • I think you forgot a word in there, chach
  • One of the issues some have with the Catholic Church is its emphasis on Mary and the saints (instead of God/Jesus). Or how the pope will declare that people need to free themselves of their materialistic ways... yet he's surrounded by gold objects, ornate sculptures, and priceless works of art.
  • There is no verb in your question.
  • I think your question is missing a few key words.
  • 12-16-2016 The bible mentions the word 'religion' four times and all four emphasize that it is made up by men telling each other what to do. Christianity is not a religion and does not require to do anything. It is defined by Romans 10:9 & 10 " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The Roman Catholic Church rejects the bible, insisting that church tradition is of higher authority than the word of God, but quoting scripture to try to support bullshit they have made up. For instance they claim succession of popes from the appointment of Peter to that position by quoting Matthew 16:18 "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Peter is Greek petros, a little rock, small enough to be thrown about, while the word 'rock' is petra, a rock big enough to be the foundation for a house. Peter was too much of a flake to be a foundation for a church. That is the guy who came unhinged because a maid recognized him one night. The Catholic Church originated in Babylon, founded by Queen Astarte/Eostre/Ishtar/Easter, and grew by absorbing smaller churches, usually with little or no change. That is why there are so many bullshit symbols used in worship. Anything goes, as long as you acknowledge the mother of god, the trinity, and the pope.
