I've never tasted anyone's sweetbreads and eggs (for breakfast) that were better than mom's.

My mom can't make toast, BUT, she makes great chicken noodle soup. Can't figure it out, she is known for bad cooking, but she can really cook up a soup! Her food is so bad, given the choice of home made meal for dinner, people pick McDonalds. Lucky, she knows she can't cook! My poor dad, at least it keeps his weight under control! ;-)

Pretty much anything my Mother is a great cook.

Pretty much everything she cooked was good. When I'd cook the same thing, it tasted like crap.

My mom was a wonderful cook. But I would rather not compare. I would consider her cooking exclusive. Comparing would spoil the taste memories.

My mom is a wonderful cook, but everyone knows her for her chocolate chip cookies! She has given me the recipe and I've tried it many times but they NEVER turn out as good as hers. Sometimes I think my husband married me just to be able to get her chocolate chip cookies! (Just kidding)
-
The mother never cooked..and I learned to never eat any food she touched before it was given to me by the cook :)
-
Tuna casserole. Spaghetti. Swiss steak. She was a good cook, but one thing she could NEVER make was Jell-o. We'd drink it from a glass, if we had it at all. But that reminds me: refrigerator cookies!

-- Homemade applesauce (the golden brown color - none of that "white stuff" like you find in jars at the store) -- Bread and butter pickles -- Red rasberry jam (I picked a TON of those berries and luckily got to eat a bunch along the way BEFORE they got to mom in her kitchen ..) -- Chocolate chip cookies
