Yeah! Bush has some good reflexes. But it still kinda pissed me off. I hope the Secret Service took that fool out back and gave him a good beating.
-
no i first thought, wonder what else they could have snuck in, hand grenades? then i thought, i bet theyll have to start leaving their shoes outside after this.
-
Why would I laugh at that? It worries me that the Secret Service let it get that far. It doesn't bode well for their ability to protect our president or future presidents, now does it. But maybe some find that funny.
-
no...
-
nah, but at least it was only a shoe. maybe they should up the security. i don't like bush, he's an idiot, but still deserves to be protected
-
No, but it would have been funny if the shoe had hit him. Made good entertainment when I saw it on the news and my eyes were glued to the screen saying go on hit go on hit. Then when it didnt my thoughts were Arrggh! lol
-
Yikes...maybe the stench of that shoe was a "weapon of mass destruction"!
-
Never heard of it until now, but now that I have, yes I had to laugh.
-
Not at first, only after he threw the second one. I think it was planned because George's reflexes ain't that good.
-
yes, one of my friends told me and it was so funny. too bad the shoes didn't hit him. i then went to youtube and watched it. lol!
-
Was it a Nunn Bush shoe?? Hehe.
-
It was both shoes. Yes, I got a good laugh out of it.
-
deadly weapons...that's why you have to take them off at the airport...haha
-
yes... I was impressed by Mr. Bush's calmness under pressure...and his reflexes
-
coulda been a cupcake...
-
It reminded me of Oddjob from Gold Finger.
-
Yes. WOW! It's the second one that's really funny.
-
I was pleasantly amused
-
not really. I thought it was inspiring. Bush is responsible for destroying this man's country as much as Saddam, if not, more.
-
If it was a Chinese reporter he would have thrown the shoe with the reporter still in it!
-
yes. i think its hilarious how our secret service can prevent assassination attempts but shoe throwing attempts are beyond there control.
-
Yes, but only because it's so unexpected. I'm sure the secret service laughed, too. I feel bad for the reporter that threw the shoes, though. For him, throwing the shoes and calling him a dog was the worst insult he could give, and you could tell that his anger and pain ran deep.
-
Yes, but I was actually more upset that he missed him thou
-
No, thought it was disgraceful, whether it was Bush, or if it would have been Hillary, or Obama, or another world leader. A few things, what would have happened if we would have treated.. say.. the French leader, or whatshisname from Iran the same way? AND, what do you think would have happened if that same guy threw a shoe at Saddam? You think he'd still be alive?
-
I didnt laugh at first, I was more in shock that it happened. but after noone got hurt, I got a good laugh out of it.
-
I shouldn't have. It was an asualt on the office, and even though I think Bush should be tried for war crimes and executed, I still want to see the office respected. But yeah, couldn't help myself and I did laugh. It's even funnier that the gesture has spread round the world as a better put down that flipping somebody off. It's amazing how quickly new memes can spread today.
-
It was funny to watch but it is a insult to our country whether you like Bush or not. I think the reporter benefited from Saddam's regime.
-
yes :)
