  • Are u a republican because I sure am!
  • Not everyone does.
  • I am sure not everyone hates Bush. But it does not help that he is a liar, and has so much power, which he uses in a divisive manner. I would not like to have such an inarticulate person to lead my country, he looks/sounds stupid (whether he is or not).
  • they look for someone to blame...who else but the great leader of a great country.
  • Allot of it has to do with his father and his past decisions.all george bush jr wanted to do was do everything his father couldnt do .
  • I dont hate anyone, never mind our President. I dont always agree with his decisions, but that goes with the territory with every president.
  • He abused his power, everything he swore to protect is wrecked.
  • Ummm.. .The War on Iraq. Following his fathers footsteps the exact oppisite way, and for being a idiot. On a magagizine or tv show or something he was rated the worst US president ever in the 20-21st century
  • I think everyone is a pretty big word. So is hate. I think some people blame him for the deaths of their loved ones, here and in other countries. That would be a reason for hate. Me, I'm just scared. He has the power to start a nuclear war, english is his first language, and he can't pronounce nuclear. I wonder what other gaps he has in his knowledge and if it's wise for a county to entrust so much power in someone who seems not to take it seriously enough to even learn how to say it. (among other things, ha, ha)
  • Not everyone hates George W. Bush. However, he has: 1.) lied on numerous occasions, 2.) refused to admit that he has made ANY mistakes, 3.) held people in US custody without trial, 4.) sanctioned torture, 5.) illegally wiretapped the communications of US citizens in violation of the Fourth Amendment. He got us into a $300 Billion + war for fallacious reasons, and mishandled the entire nation rebuilding. We now have a situation that is a quagmire, and a country in a civil war in which people die violently every day. His inept handling of the Iraqi situation single-handedly recruited more terrorists than Bin Laden ever did. The cost of living in the US has gone up, while real wages have gone down. Citizens pay exorbitant fees at the pump while Exxon makes $20 Billion in PROFIT in 6 months. Don't even get me started on the effects of his domestic policy on women, minorities, the national deficit, and the environment. Does that answer your question? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/27/AR2005102700449.html http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/07/27/060727163841.2s8pljtq.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5321606.stm http://nitpicker.blogspot.com/2005/10/bush-admits-hes-pro-torture.html http://prisonplanet.tv/articles/november2005/031105openlyadmits.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX7V4XOkDk4 Lemme know if you want me to get more specific.
  • I think people find it hard to respect someone in a position of authority that they feel superior to. Just think of how people hate their boss when they feel they are smarter or better for the job themselves. Plus, the fact that he speaks at the caliber of a drunken 8 year old doesn't help.
  • Amen to that. He's got to be in the running for the low water mark of U.S. Presidents. They really should impeach him, but there's more serious business to attend to. Here's hoping we we don't "quack up" during the rest of his lame duck term. Good luck to us.
  • Any president will get people who don't like him. But in Bush's case he has made a lot of questionable decesions. People who are presidents during war-times get lower approval ratings, and it continues to go down the longer we're at war
  • Some people I know don't respect him because they think he's not very intelligent. Thanks not entirely true, he's just not a great intellectual. He's also lied, his "foreign policy" ("Is there oil there? Good. Attack.") has killed thousands of American soldiers and foreign civilians, and he continues to take a poor stance on global warming, universal health care, and tax cuts. His policies seem to favor what he comes from - big business, the people who need his help the least. He is also a person in a position of authority and the masses tend to hold something against those kinds of figures, no matter what their political leaning. I don't hate him but I certainly have a few beefs with how he "runs" this country.
  • It starts from a hatred of what he does, and as we see he's totally unapologetic about it, the hate becomes personal. No man is above the law!!! President or not! We must all answer for what we do!
  • I do not know if "hate" is the right word...but IMHO George W. Bush does not project the right image of the United States to the world. I do not think he is competent enough to hold the highest post of world's #1 economy. A president represents the people of his/her country but Bush gets that first impression horribly wrong.
  • This is a question that has a whole host of responses waiting for it, from every side of the political spectrum. I do not hate nor loathe the man. I support him on many issues and oppose him on some others, and I consider myself a conservative person. I think that the US is an incredibly polarized nation and has been for some time. Some people like to think that Iraq was the reason, but the hatred of the president was brewing well before that. I would also say that the question itself is inaccurate. Not everyone does hate him, he is unpopular in the polls right now and the rhetoric against him is often vile but not everyone hates him. I think that it is those with the most caustic words for him that get the publicity and the attention (naturally) so it leads to a perception that is not entirely accurate.
  • First of all, I don't hate HIM. Hate is unproductive and serves no purpose. I hate most of his administration's policies, though. He also seems incapable of thinking and speaking on his own; he's been a puppet for Rove, Rummy, Cheney, etc. He seems incapable of defending his words and actions all by himself, without a speech or statement written by someone else. Time and again, he is too proud to admit that he might have made a mistake, and by the time he does, it's way too late. He has overextended our military so much that the military has lowered their standards regarding who they accept... and for what? A disaster of a war. His policies are fiscally irresponsible. I could go on and on, but I need to shower sometime before noon... I just think he is a terrible president, but I'm sure our American History books will make him out to be a "hero". He should have just remained a businessman.... oh, wait, he failed at that too!
  • Hating Bush for what he's done seems like hating water for being wet. I don't think he could have done ANYTHING differently. He's a product of his conditioning. As are we ALL unless we wake up enough to realize that we have the option to transcend the patterns of our experience. The lap of luxury and privilege is often a hard place from which to wake up.
  • I think it is because Bush doesn't listen to the people that much.
  • I don't hate Bush, and i am an Aussie. Some of his advisers have let him down.
  • I don't hate Bush. I think he's doing the best he can, probably believes he is doing the right thing. I just hate the fact that young Americans are dying in Iraq and can't quite reason out for what purpose?
  • ha! b/c he's a stupid hick...and he lies..and im 15 and im smarter than him
  • I don't hate him as a person I just despise the mess he has got us into. He thinks he is right and he thinks everyone else is wrong. Well guess what Bush baby the price for your war is to damn high and your wrong to have tossed this country into it.
  • It bothers me that our politcal climate has degenerated into a battle of personalities. It is not necessary to hate someone in order to oppose them poltically. I am not sure most people hate Bush. I am sure they do not. You cannot hate someone you do not know. It has been argued that you cannot hate a person you do not love - or at least have an emotional connection with.
  • Those who are democrats, hate the republicans. Does it make sense??? It's the donkeys against the elephants or vice versa.
  • Bush allowed 911 to take place. By Christian Peper
  • I don't think it's a matter of hate. Hey, I don't hate our local village idiot, Bush is just the global village idiot. Pet him on the head and buy him a popsicle. This is to whoever decided to go on a tear in here and rate every one down -4. You really aren't doing anything to me with that. I actually asked to have all my points wiped out last week. My answer above, IS my opinion of that idiot and that won't change unless he begins to learn how to pronounce nuclear and Democrats . If he ever begins to display manners as well. You don't call the leader of a foreign country by a familiar name, when addressing the press (unless you'd like them to call you Georgie boy back) and actually learn where Ghana is on the map. Sorry...he plays the part well. Global village idiot.
  • I didn't realize everyone hated Bush, I mean Gavin Rossdale, sure, I mean with Courtney love and all, but Sixteen Stone was brilliant, I could never hate Bush.
  • i dont.
  • Im from England - so an outsiders view. First, I think he lied about Iraq. His "invasion plan" was ill conceived.... however, I can forgive him all that because Saddam was one of the most evil men ever. What I cant forgive Bush for is his stance on global warming. I believe his ignorance / deliberate denial resulting in policies that have ignored the affect of CO2 emmisions, will mean more deaths than all the dictators of the past ever caused. They were evil, even thoguh I think he will cause mroe deaths, I dont think evil is the right word. In Britain, the general opinion of Bush is not very flattering. (I love America by the way and I think the majority of English people still do, but Americas popularity has severley gone down since Clinto left office). Bush is viewed as unintelligent and a puppet. (I dont think you can become President of the worlds only super-power unless you are intelligent). I loved Clinton, Reagan, Bush Snr. I have immense respect for Al Gore - especially since he has put so much effort into evangelising about global warming. Is it all Bushs fault or his advisors? Pass but ultimately the buck has to stop somewhere.... I like our own Prime Minister - Tony Blair, but I wish he would be more forceful with Bush. However, we are no longer a super power.... and dont really have much influence. So roll on the next US Presidential elections.
  • Not Me! Bush is pretty smart when you think about it!
  • I personally like George Bush. I think a lot of people dont like him because theyre influenced not to. Some people genuinely dont, and its mostly because they either dont believe in his politics, or HIS war.
  • Duplicate question http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/110745
  • WAR. the u.s.president gets a lot of heat after declaring war on any country.after diplomacy fails, war is inevitable.the situation here is like this, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.bush is a tough guy and he knows he is loved by more people than haters. Enough of that,CONGRATULATIONS on the recent whitewash over england.good luck in the world series.cheers!
  • He is a brainless war monger He is responsible for the deaths of thousands including 3,000 + American soldiers I think there are far more important issues that he could have spent the billions on in the U.S like the homeless and unemployed.
  • In a democracy we are expected to read, study, research and make up our minds. Governments are inclined to put out "spin" press releases and lie outright or edit the facts. The danger is that most people do not do the necessary research, which presumes a decent education and taking the time. Therefore the talk show hosts, most are to the right, and the "comedians" most of whom are anti- the 'in-crowd" tell us what to think. The thoughtful person respects the office, loves and prays for the person in the office, every office, but also judges what is right or wrong about their performance. That is not easy to do. Those who do not do the homework would be best staying quiet, and simply learning. Unfortunately idiotic opinions show up in every medium, including Answerbag and that is the downside of living in a republic where idiotic viewpoints get idiotic people elected! The Founding Fathers wanted only white male landowners to vote, and they wanted the Electoral College to choose the President, not the general publi; the VP was the candidate with the second largest number of votes, there was no Dem. or Rep "ticket" with the two team-mates in tandem. The Fathers would be shocked today to see the millions of dollars and 30-second commercials deciding the fate of the world which is in the US Prsident's hands for the most part and buckets of money for the other races also. They would of course agree that everyone should vote but would like to keep the idiots from doing so, and the idiot candidates from running in the first place, which is why they devised the Electoral College idea, Elitists they were. As long as imperfect humans inhabit the Earth it will not change much, except that for the forseeable future "We The People" are almost powerless pawns, and have little or no say-so in all the significant issues: the Rich Rule and the Big Corporations funding the Loudest Propaganda Machines are in charge so the winner does their bidding.
  • not everyone does, idon't i don't get involoved in that stuff though, as you know, im just a kid
  • habeas corpus
  • Doing the hard thing isn't always popular. Being President should not be about popularity. So many times Presidents do things that aren't popular. Oh by the way a President should not govern by popularity polls it will destroy a country pretty quickly I think. I actually admire the president I wouldn't want his job for anything in the world but I am proud he is our president. In this world today everybody wants to do what everyone else is doing, the problem with that is if your not careful like lemmings you will end up running off a cliff and being killed in the process. Has the President done everything right probably not but he has stood firm, you know the bible says "when you have done all you know to do and can't do anymore STAND" I think that is what a President has to do sometimes when everybody has arrayed themselves against you and you really believe you are on the right course you have to stand. War is never popular and it shouldn't be but freedom isn't given it is earned and many of us in this country understand that, if you treat your freedom like a privelege you will eventually lose it but if you understand that freedom isn't free but comes at a costly price then you understand the necessity of war, you don't like it but you understand it. Fight for you freedom
  • I was not aware that everyone does.
  • I think people are merely jelous, and are full of a lot of tough talk, thinking they could do better, but in reality, I doubt many could.
  • I love bush but I absolutely don't like dick at all ;)
  • Because if he would spend more time thinking, and trying to do a good job then we wouldn't HAVE to hate him. I have to say, if I found out someone few an airplane into a building on MY watch, I wouldn't continue to read a book to the little children, not knowing what to do. If there was a hurricane that was going to hit anywhere in the US as bad as Katrina, I would have gotten them the help necessary. How is it that WE, the people of America knew about this storm before HE did? Intel. dept. my ASS!
  • I have a question...Why does everyone love JFK when he's actually the one who started the Vietnam War, but then Bush does this and he's hated. The American people are very fickle, and they arent as patriotic as they use to be. They seem to also forget that the President isnt a King and he doesnt have complete control of this country, the people do. If you want change bad enough you can get it, but they are just lazy and think its easier to vote for a senator to do all the work. The people of America are to blame for all the things that happen not the president, America no longer voices their opinions unless its on TV (I guess that saves them the trip to Washington DC.) Speaking to each other doesnt mean that the government will hear, remember that. P.S. Yes, he pronounces words weird because he's southern, trust me he's not the only one who talks like that, I mean people from New England say things weird to other people too.
  • LOL GREAT profile! Cause you're an illiterate, trigger happy, elitist, stupid, lying excuse of a man who stole an election twice and I don't respect. And, this is a duplicate question. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/110745
  • We don't hate you, George. We just wonder how an incompetent, bible-thumping neanderthal like you got to be president.
  • just because he has a slight5 speech problem does not mean the man is stupid, ever hear of Christy Brown?
  • I don't know. He's not any worse and not as bad as some others.
  • I think it is because of the war in Iraq. People don't know why we are there in the first place. Bush's plan is to get free oil for the U.S. Also Bush doesn't want for America to suffer another 9/11. It still gets to me.
  • Everyone does not. But many do due to sheep mentality. He was put in a very tough position, largely due to the passive and irresponsible dealing with terrorism of the Clinton administration. Nobody likes war and there are some who still have the Clinton mentality of putting fingers in ears and closing eyes real tight and hoping it all goes away. American and by extenstion Democracy and Freedom were attacked. G.W. Bush responded in the best ways he knew how based upon the best intelligence available. The Democrats in the House and Senate were on board based upon the same intelligence. Even Bill Clinton was very adamant about his support. Now they all claim it's all Bush's fault. It's weak, dishonest, revisioninism. Those who actually keep their eyes open, educate themselves, and have an understanding of what is at stake do not hate Bush. His biggest downfall has not been the war on terror, it has been the failure to protect U.S. borders. This is very disappointing to me as I believe the two are closely related. I do not hate George Bush, he's no Reagan but thank God he's no Clinton either.
  • I did not realize everyone hated him. I certainly do not. I somewhat admire him for holding up under incredible pressure. He's not perfect for sure, none of us are.
  • Because he has instigated an illegal and immoral war that has already cost $500,000,000 (from government sources) and hundreds of thousands of innocent lives and is expected to cost between $5,000,000,000 to $7,000,000,000 to finish—and that's only if we wrap it up fairly soon. NONE of this has yet hit taxes, so ALL of this is a burden we will inherit. Additionally, he is moving the country in a fascist direction and abridging many constitutional protections. In the end, he has made the world a less safe place to live. I won't even mention what he (and his ilk) has done to the economy as the siphon money from the middle class to the wealthy classes, where the top 0.5% of the wealthholder have as much wealth as the bottom 50%, and the CEOs of large corporations earn more than 500 times the average worker owing to tax advantages not shared by middle and lower class earners, primarily due to favourable tax codes.
  • I agree wholeheartedly with My Favourite Life - well said! It's what Bush represents that they hate. There's a part of him in all of us I suppose, and none of us likes to look at the nasty bits. He's as fundamentalist as the enemy he condemns... like attracts like... the Law of Attraction : ) He's been the mouthpiece and the figurehead of a truly life-hating philosophy - Absolute Power At Any Cost. He's the extreme of narrow-minded self righteousness. I suppose we as humankind had it coming - there was going to have to be somebody who captured all of the greed and self-gratification that we carry around with us. He's it. Rest easy though - I'm sure there's plenty of people who think he's the best thing since sliced bread (but what's so good about sliced bread anyway??).
  • Dupe: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/110745
  • because he has taken this country to the crapper. Also i refuse to reconize him as president, as far as i am concerned, we have no president
  • A better question would be why do I NOT hate George Bush...
  • I dont hate George Bush, I am a Dem thats all
  • He's a homophobic, moronic, warmonger, that spent 8 years driving this nation into the ground.
  • Is this a serious question? WHO DOESN'T HATE HIM? 1. he RUINED this country, he has LIED to us 2.he is too busy helping Iraq when he could be helping our OWN country. 3. There are still homeless people from Katrina and he is still too busy killing our soldiers in Iraq 4. There are thousands of families mourning over their lost loved ones from the stupid war. 5. He has killed thousands of innocent people There are tons of more reasons. The election can't come soon enough
  • he is a liar who claimed over and over again that we went into Iraq for w.m.d's what were we REALLY doing KILING thousands of iraqie men women and children who did nothing to us I would love for him to allow war footage of Iraq to be shown and do you know that much of it has been banned from being shown in the U.S but not in other countries maybe because Bush dosn't want us to see little kids being murdered for NOTHING
  • i would like to get more specific. George Bush is a good American. Someone who sticks to his beleifs no matter what the popular vote is. With a more than 50% approval rating to enter this war he did. Now EVERYONE claims to have denied the need to enter the iraq war. Imagine if there were no retaliation to Sept 11.More innocent deaths? Its impossible to tell. So stop rippin on our president it makes our country look bad. God damn you fucking voted for him
  • I don't. Though his response in Katrina was....lacking at best.
  • Look at the mess America is in, he's to blame directly or indirectly.
  • Many reasons. Like the war for example. That is a HUGE mess...
  • I believe that the biggest problems is that Americans didn't have the spine for a long hairy war / occupation in Iraq. It also became "a thing" to hate him. . PS: I support George Bush.
  • The job of the US president is primarily to protect our borders and ensure our livelihood.. a job many would not give him a passing grade.
  • I don't hate him at all, in fact I think he's quite a decent man. But he has been an awful president. Aside from the Optional War in Iraq, in which he picked the worst option: a masterful invasion and conquest of the Iraqi Army (Republican Guard), with zero plan for the follow-on occupation -- and even worse, no expectation that one would be required, he made a number of other mistakes. - He failed miserably in his effort to privatize Social Security. Maybe in hindsight people will think that failure is a good thing ... but only because Social Security hasn't been exposed (yet) as a far, far worse financial mess in our future than the current one. When Social Security goes bust, it will make the current 'disaster' seem like a rained-out picnic. - He increased the national debt more and faster than any other Administration in history. If you thought about voting Republican for "fiscal responsibility", then you'd be thinking again. - I'm not going to lay the blame for FEMA's feeble and ineffective response to hurricanes at his feet, starting with Katrina, but that's a reason that a lot of others glom onto, I'm sure.
  • Check out all these you tube videos why People hate Gringos & Bush . These are the reasons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPmH_d7A9-g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGgKBY61X0Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1AtF_z-Wyk&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsI-gDKs_w8 The Truth: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/110745 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_sVC3GQ5C4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzHnzbe_dPM&feature=related
  • George Bush bankruppted America Bin Laden was right. hahahaha.
  • I don't hate him. I hate what he's done to the US. I hate the lies he told to go to war. I hate the policies he's pushed. . But I don't hate Bush. I kind of pity him. He so wanted to be President Action Man just like the ones in the movies who win glorious wars. But he just failed at that - like his businesses. . +5
  • A lot of people hate Bush because they are told by the media to hate Bush. Most people I know who hate him can't even tell me a reason. Yah I guess it's bad to go and liberate a country that WAS a threat. If Saddam didn't want to get attacked he shouldn't have bluffed about the weapons he had. It wasn't just Bush who thought he had WMD's. Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Israel and many other countries also had in their reports he had WMD's. I guess people in America are to selfish and self centered to be happy for the Iraqi people. They LOVE us over there. We removed crazy old Saddam and gave them a democracy where they can do whatever they want. The economic situation is mainly from the democratic senate which, by the way, hasn't done a SINGLE promise they said to the american people they would do when they said, "Elect us in the senate to run, and we will switch things around." Name good things about George W. Bush 1. Liberated Iraqis, gave them a free country 2. Has kept us safe from another attack since 9/11 3. He balanced the budget, THEN the democrats fucked it up 4. Took action against the terrorists who attacked us 5. Destroying three quarters of Al Queda 6. Cut taxes across the board 7. Cut death tax 8. Boycotted Citgo (A Hugo Chavez dealio) 9. He didn't commit perjury 10. He didn't have sex with that women!
  • No because if the people on Welfare would get a damn job there would be money going in to social security! I personally don't care about social security but it is very different than welfare!
  • Who is George Bush ???? LOL
  • Because people Love him so much.....
  • Read Noam Chomsky: Yes Ive read a couple of Noam Chomsky Books, Chomsky speaks the truth regarding Western Imperialistic Corrupt Goverments & Exposes their hidden agendas. I wish all Western Leaders would study Noam Chomsky prior to making decisions that affect the rest of the World. US Foreign Policy & Free Trade is truly messed up, Chomsky is the voice of reason.
  • Because he has proven that he is in fact an idiot.
  • Look what he did to Iraq, the economy, the Constitution, individual liberties, etc. etc.
  • Because he passes laws that wound up screwing the people.
  • because obama hasn't assumed office yet.
  • IDK, why did they hate Jimmy Carter?
  • I don't. I think he is a really good president and I will miss him. Those who criticize are mostly unqualifed. I always have tried not to criticize presidents. The reason why is because that person is taking on a very tough job that I would never want. I think those who criticize should either run for president themselves if they think they can do better or STFU.
  • I don't hate anyone. I do, however, hate needless war, torture, and stripping people of constitutional rights.
  • Because he controls the nation's nuclear arsenal, but can't even pronounce it.
  • I must not be "people". I have very little if any respect for him but can't say I hate.
  • Because he seems like he just doesn't really give a shit. His demeanor suggests that he knows a joke that we don't.Note to Bush apologists: BRING ON the DR!
  • Because he's destroyed many lives across the world with his poor decisions as a president. How can you love that?
  • Haven't seen a legit answer here, with an actual specific reason of why they hate Bush. In any case, I think the media has duped obviously easily influenced folks into blaming one person for all the world's problems. News flash people: those problems are there because of you and they're not going to be solved by one person alone!
  • I don't know anyone who [hates] President Bush! I think he did the best he could under the circumstances. All that you ever hear from the dems, is about how HE started the war, a President cannot start a war, the congress has to approve it first. I believe 99 senators out of 100, voted to go to war, so President Bush did not have any choice, besides, Somebody Attacked us. Did you expect him just to sit there, and do nothing, like bill clinton did, when we were first attacked at the twin towers. If we did not take saddam out when we did, he probably would have killed millions of his own people by now, like he did when he was in power! Looking at it that way, we saved millions of people from being slaughtered by saddam. President Bush will go down in history as a Great President, for protecting our homeland, we have NOT been attacked again, since he has been in office. YES, he has made his share of mistakes, like every other president does..No President is perfect! But to say people HATE President Bush is kind of low. I do not actually Hate anybody. Everyone has their faults and the President is only human, just like the rest of us!! Have a Great Day!
  • Where in the hell have you been for the last 8 years to have to ask a question like that.
  • The same reason people hate flies all they do is eat s$%^$ and bother people and that was about as good as it got with Bush.
  • I detest him because he sent our troops to die in a needless war. That's abuse of our military.
  • Because he considered himself and his froends over everybody else, just like obama is doing and hate is building for him.
  • because of his failed policies.
